Mileas Viren (in her pilot outfit ;D)

"Hey, did you hear about how Len won the air race last night?" A short man said to his friend as they were walking down the street.

"Of course I did I was there!" The other responded angrily.

"Why so sour friend?" the short one asked.

"Because I bet on Dal and lost five hundred dollars." He explained.

"How many times do I have to tell you to stop gambling, you're trash..." the short one said as he punched his friend in the shoulder.

"Next time it'll be different, next time." he said as he rubbed his shoulder.

The sound of hurried footsteps could be heard from behind the two.

"Move!" a voice exclaimed from behind the two pedestrians.

The two kept walking at their original pace.

"Can't people learn to slow down and enjoy a walk?" the short one asked.

"Beats me." the other said.

Suddenly they were both shoved to the ground as a man blew past them running as fast as he could. Shortly after a bunch of gun carrying thugs ran by.

"I suppose he has an excuse." the short man said.

Meanwhile the man was still sprinting, darting down alleys, jumping over boxes, and shoving through crowds of outraged pedestrians.

"Avvix!" a voice yelled from behind the man.

"Screw off!" the man now identified as Avvix yelled back. A gun shot echoed down the street and a bullet whizzed by Avvix's head. He decided he would keep his mouth shut for the time being. Instead he focused his energy on how to get out of the situation he was in. His mind was racing, he was calculating escape routes when it occurred to him that the best exit was simple. The answer was up. Without anymore thought Avvix quickly grabbed onto a large water pipe that ran up the side of a building. He effortlessly climbed the pipe and rolled onto the roof of the building. He was now completely exhausted and needed to catch his breath after sprinting for what felt like hours.
