"I would love to stay and chat but I think we must be off." Avvix said as he drew his hand back.
Arth gave Avvix a spiteful glare as he helped Mileas up and out of her seat.
"If you ever wish to talk again give me a call." Arth said as he handed Mileas a slip of paper.
"Thank you, sir." Mileas responded awkwardly as she was pulled away and into the crowd. After a short walk through a blur of people tables and drinks, Mileas found herself in what appeared to be a hotel room.
"Why did you yank me away so suddenly?" Mileas asked.
"Arth isn't a good person to talk with, I've been cheated by him and his greedy family in the past." Avvix said spitefully. He found a seat in a large chair near the bed in the room and sighed with relief. "You have no idea how long its been since I could sit down and truly relax." He said as he leaned back into the cushions of the seat.
Mileas gave her dress a tug and it retracted into a shoulder cape. then she hung it off a lamp and flung herself onto the bed.
"This is the best mattress I've ever felt." Mileas said as she squeezed the soft and light mattress with her hands. Avvix and Mileas both relaxed for at least an hour before they got up again.
"Mileas, the bio patch should be wearing off any minute now." Avvix said as he strained to get up out of his seat.
"The what?" Mileas asked.
Suddenly Mileas felt all of her energy and vigor drain from her body. Followed by a horrible pain in her side, She lifted up her tank top and found that the bio patch was a deep red. "It just did I think." she said as she sat on the floor.
Avvix approached Mileas and knelt down next to her. He lifted up her shirt and examined the patch. She flinched uncomfortably, but was too weak to protest.
"Yep this one is spent..." Avvix said.
He looked up at Mileas and said "This is going to hurt a little." He then used his left hand to keep her shirt up, and placed his right hand on the corner of the patch.
Mileas closed her eyes tightly bracing for what was about to happen. With a quick and fluid motion Avvix tore the patch off of Mileas's side causing her to let out a short gasp of pure agony.
"I lied, sorry." Avvix said. He knelt down lower and looked at the spot where the patch was, no laceration and her skin was regrown almost perfectly. He touched the spot with his hand. Mileas winced as his hand made contact with her body.
"Perfect! not even a scar." Avvix said cheerfully. "Now you should probably get something to eat the bio patch drained most of your calories and energy reserves, and It wouldn't hurt to clean up and change clothes."
