Mileas was met with the sound of clinking glasses and hushed voices as she entered.

"ID's please." A amphibious alien said as she entered.

"She's with me." Avvix said smoothly.

"That's a nice catch you have there Avvix." The alien responded in a wet and blubbery voice. "What would it cost for me to take her off your hands?" He asked as they began to leave.

"More than you could ever earn, this one's a keeper." Avvix said as he hooked Mileas's arm.

The alien grumbled to himself as they past by. Inside the building there was a big neon sign that said The Binary Star.

"This is a rather welcoming establishment." Mileas said dryly.

"Oh, it gets better." Avvix said jokingly. "Just wait until we get into the actual club area." He continued.

"I'm beginning to doubt that this place is as safe as you say." Mileas stated.

Avvix didn't answer, instead he kept walking. They approached a curtain appeared to have dancing lights behind it. Avvix pulled the curtain aside and revealed a lively party filled with tables, candles, dancing, and drinking.

"Go on don't be shy." Avvix said as he lightly nudged her forward. She stumbled slightly as she went through the curtain. a few richly dressed patrons look in her direction but quickly continued their conversation.

"I've got some business to attend to, so find a table and make yourself comfortable." Avvix said quietly as he entered behind Mileas. "If anyone makes you uncomfortable, just say your with the Ace of Gambits." He added.

"Alright." Mileas responded anxiously.

Avvix gave her a pat on the shoulder as he passed into the crowd. Leaving Mileas alone in a strange gathering. She threw aside her nervous guise and stood up straight as she entered into the crowd of dancing and conversing patrons. As she walked past an empty table she noticed a luxurious cape coat, the kind worn by rich women from Terra prime. She looked around making sure that no one was watching. Finding that no one was, she quickly and discreetly put it on over herself. The design of this garment was very special for the reason that it could turn from a shoulder cape into a fancy dress like garment when given a sharp tug on the left corner.

Mileas gave the corner a tug causing the cape's edge to cascade down her body then quickly tie itself together around her. This particular cape was made from a deep red velvety material. It showed little bit too much skin and was a little too fancy for Mileas's taste but it was better than a tank top and shorts.

Meanwhile Avvix was weaving his way through the crowd and up to a rather burly alien who was sitting comfortably in a throne made of polished obsidian.

"The Ace returns." The alien said in a deep and commanding voice.

"Yessir." Avvix said with a short bow.

"What brings you to the star this time?" The Alien asked as he looked down at Avvix through his three large eyes.

Avvix paused, and contemplated his next few words carefully. "Room and board, and out of Aletar's good and merciful nature..." He paused again. "Safety for two." he said uncertainly.

"You expect me, Aletar... to give you protection again?!" Aletar growled viciously.

"I don't expect you to... I only ask." Avvix said.

"Fine, but only because of the debt I owed your father." Aletar said as he waved Avvix away.

Avvix nodded and walked back into the crowd. As he wandered through the crowd he couldn't seem to find Mileas, while he was searching for the tank top and shorts that he thought that she was wearing.

Mileas was sitting patiently in a seat she had found near the back of the room. She watched the patrons, getting a feel for the crowd and what her place would be if she decided to join them in conversation. It was obvious that the people with the fancier garb had more authority in the conversation, especially the well dressed women. Seizing the opportunity to gain information and maybe a powerful acquaintance, she decided to get in on a conversation.

She needed to come up with an alias before she introduced herself to anyone. Mileas as a first name would work fine, she didn't have much of a record with her real name. Talneth for a last name, it had a nice ring to it. however she had to have a good reason for being richly decorated. Maybe she had control over a noble house outside of the system?

"Hello miss." A voice said from nearby. Mileas just came up with something on the fly in case the person asked anything.

"I'm Arth Reacher, I don't think we've been acquainted."

"Mileas Talneth, pleased to meet you sir." Mileas said in a proper manner.

"I must say..." He paused as he gathered himself. "Lady Talneth, correct?" He asked.

"Yes, Lady Talneth." Mileas responded with a gentle nod.

"Um, I've never heard your named mentioned in the courts, did you recently gain your title?" Arth asked respectfully.

"Yes, yes I did." Mileas answered. She could feel a void of discomfort surrounding the conversation.

"I'm sorry, I'm rather clueless about this whole noble lifestyle." Mileas said while she adjusted her dress to fit better.

"I could imagine, Not many people are ready for a title when they receive one." Arth said as he looked off to his left.

"I have many questions about the goings on in our lofty society if you would care to answer them, I want to be a well informed member of the aristocracy I have thrust into so suddenly." Mileas said with a subtle sigh for added effect.

"Well of course milady." Arth said as he took a nearby seat. "Ask away."

Avvix was beginning to get nervous. "Where is Mileas?" he asked himself. He scurried here and there looking for her, but couldn't seem to find a hint of her. When suddenly he heard her name being spoken.

"Why Mileas, its not really much of an issue if you fail to bow before a fellow noble, you have an excuse if you don't." a voice said.

Avvix turned and looked. He saw Mileas and a nobleman sitting at a table chatting about manners or something. She was wearing a gorgeous dress and seemed to be handling herself quite well. Avvix quickly grabbed the third seat at the table and said. "You seem to have a knack for making friends."

"Who is this?" Arth said with a hint of disgust in his voice.

"Oh, him?" Mileas responded. "He's the reason I'm here of course!" she said with a girlish laugh.

Avvix stuck his hand out for a handshake. Arth lightly gripped Avvix's hand with his forefinger and thumb and limply shook it. "Nice to... meet you mister." Arth said uncomfortably.
