When Love And Hate Collide

5PM came....

"Hayyy, thank god we're done with the return demo. Naloka ako sa pag-insert nung Intradermal na." Sambit ni Janeeva

"Hahahah! Tawang tawa nga ako nung thrice kang nag-insert."

"Oo na, sige na, ikaw na magaling."

"Oh, ito naman di lang mabiro." Sambit ko sabay yakap sakanya.

We were on our way out sa gate when I suddenly bumped into someone.

"Ouch!"

"Sorry, I didn't mean to..."

Both of us automatically gaze at each other.

"IKAW!" We said in unison.

We didn't move from where we are for a few seconds and just looking at each other.... Not until Janeeva who was beside me cleared her throat. Got my composure back. I grabbed Janeeva's arm and was about to walk but then he held my arm to stop me from leaving.

"Hey, wait lang." Sambit niya while still holding on my arm

"What do you want?" I snapped at him.

"Can we talk?"

"What else to talk about. I can still remember, the last time we talked, I've already made it clear that I don't ever want to talk to you again diba."

"I want us to talk about that."

"There's no need. Just let it go and move on okay!"

"So that means we're friends again?" He said, his tone was a little hopeful

"Who says we're friends?!"

"Please.... Just please hear me out. I just want to bring back our friendship." He said, pleading.

"Ahemmm aheem, excuse me guys huh. I just want to let you know my presence." Janeeva said. Interrupting their conversation.

Unang nakabawi ng tingin si RJ at ibinaling ang tingin sa kasama ni Maine.

"Ahhh, sorry. I'm Richard nga pala." He said, extending his right hand for a hand shake, which Janeeva excitedly took.

"Hi, I'm Janeeva nga pala. Nice to meet you Richard." She said, her eyes not leaving the guy's face. Until....

"Uyyyy, teka. You look familiar, I think we've met before. Wait..... Saan na nga ba yun?" She suddenly said, while in a deep thought.

"Teka, you said your name is Janeeva right?!" Richard also said, while remembering something. "Ahhhh! Yeah, I think I know you."

"RJ?!"

"Jan?!"

Sabay nilang sambit. Clearly surprised by their sudden discovery.

"Uyyy, kumusta na?"

"Okay naman, ito lalong gumaganda haha! Ikaw kumusta na? Juiceko lalong pumopogi ahhh."

"Di naman, ikaw talaga di ka parin nagbabago."

"Sus! Pa-humble pa oh" sambit ni Janeeva sabay hampas sa balikat niya.

"Aheeeeemmm" it was now my time to interrupt them.

"Ayy sarey nemen bes, hihi." Tanging sambit ni Janeeva sa kaibagan.

"If you're done, can we please just go? " I said while leading the way. Janeeva stopped me from walking and held both my arms.

"Hey, stop being rude. RJ wants to talk to you." She said while her index finger was pointing at RJ who was still standing not far from we currently are.

"Well, I dont want to talk to him."

"Well, my dear friend. I think now is really the time to talk to him, it seems like he really wants to patch things up between the two of you."

"So now, suddenly kampi ka na sakanya. May I remind you na AKO ang kaibigan mo dito. I can sense betrayal right here, right now."

"Sus, arte arte mo naman friend, may betrayal ka pang nalalaman. Bes, alam mo masama ang nagkikimkim ng sama ng loob sa isang tao, nakakamatay yan. Just please talk to him kahit ngayon lang. Maawa ka naman sakanya at higit sa lahat maawa ka naman sa sarili mo, ilang taon mo ng inaalagaan yang hatred na yan, I think it's time to let it go. Sabi mo nga kanina, and I quote "let it go and move on." End of quote. So, pinatamaan mo lang ang sarili mo."

Actually, she has a point. I have been nursing this hatred for a long time.

I was about to talk but then she suddenly interrupted me, "opppps, stop it right there. Alam ko kokontra ka nanaman sa litanya ko. We'll, quit it. Talk to him. PLEASE."

"Okay fine. But ngayon lang okay. I'll give him one chance and then that's it."

"Good girl." Sambit niya sabay kaway kay RJ, gesturing him to come near us.

He immediately run and went to us.

"Oh, RJ ikaw na bahala sa kaibigan ko huh. Mag-usap kayo ng maayos okay."

RJ's face lit up by just hearing that.

"One chance.!" I said, while glaring at him.

"Yes, and thank you. Sayo din Jan, thank you sa pagkumbinsi kay Maine."

"Anong thank you, sisingilin kita next time. Hindi ito libre uyyy."

"Sure, just let me know kelan ka maniningil." He said, smiling.

"Oh siya, larga na."

"Thanks again Jan. Shall we?" He said, gesturing us walk to the parking lot nearby.

We walk towards a white jaguar, no one dared to talk.

He opened  the passenger door and let me in. He quickly walked towards the other side of the car and seated in the driver's seat.

"Where do you want to go?"

"I dont know, I just want to get this over with." I blurted out. I'm starting to regret agreeing to this situation I'm in.

"Okay, ako na bahala." He said, a place already popped into his mind. He smiled, had a quick glance at Maine who is currently fidgeting her fingers while looking outside.

He started to drive, silently praying that this would turn out fine.
