Killian's POV
Is it safe, Captain? Are you sure you want to do this? Aye Smee, I'll be fine. Now stop worrying about me like your some bloody school girl. Aye, Captain. My apologies.

The crew heaved and gritted their teeth as they lowered the small row boat to the water. I landed with a grunt making waves bustle out from under the boat. Grabbing the oars with my
hand and hook I start to paddle towards the small island in the distance, the crews wishes of good luck in the distance.

Humming a quiet tune to myself I focus more on the bright stars and calming water than my aching muscles. The distance between the Jolly Roger and the small island was nearly half a mile. Due to the objects that rested on
said island a half a mile was as close as we could get without raising suspicions.

Who knows what other pirates lurked in the fog that clung to the ocean?

My arms begin to tire after paddling for
an half an hour so I stop for a break, pulling the paddles into the boat. Stretching my arms every which way I twist my sore limbs and feel the tension in my muscles subside.

Letting a sigh of sweet relief flood from my mouth I try to calculate how much farther I had travel. If I started again in about 10 minutes I'd be able to reach it in roughly an hour. Then make my way back and return by dawn.

My rest lasted only 5 minutes and then I was grabbing the oars once again until a soft voice interrupted my thoughts. It started as a low, quiet hum of the song I had sung but turned into a silky feminine voice singing.

"My heart is pierced by cupid, I distain all glittering gold. There is nothing can console me but my jolly sailor bold."

I searched the dark waters for the beautiful voice feeling my motivation
to get to the island fade away. And then I spot her. A bloody siren with bright blonde hair and captivating green eyes had made her way to the nose of the boat.

She smiled sweetly at me making the knots in my stomach tighten even more. "Hello."she whispered making a shiver run down my spine. I swallow a sudden lump in my throat and slowly creep over to the siren.

"What do you want?"I try to snap at her but it comes out pitiful and broken. I grit my teeth in disgust and clench my jaw as I sit down right in front of her. She giggles and slightly pulls herself up the side of the boat exposing a clam bra she wore and a bright, blue tail.

"I heard you singing,"she smiles widely showing off her pearl white teeth,"You have a wonderful voice."she caresses each word making a hot blush creep up my neck. I try my best to reply curtly and dismissive the bloody thing but find myself being struck dumb at the sight of her.

This close up you could make out every feature of her flawless face and see the dust of ocean drops on her cheeks. Her green eyes were mixed with an ocean blue, swirling together to draw men into the depths of her spell. Being a 300 year old pirate I should be immune to such creatures yet this one was different. She almost seemed human.

Almost.

Her golden hair was draped down her back and danced in the water making my fingers itch to draw their way through it. Her lips were what caught my attention the most though.
