After a couple minutes of running and hiding behind bushes, Oliver's hand still in in mine, I was already out of breath. Our interlocked hands were getting sweaty near the palm, and all I wanted to do is let go and wipe my hand on my black jeans, but I also never wanted to let go. He held my hand with such comfort and protection, like if we happen to let go, I'd break. It was probably not at all in his intentions to make me think that, but I did. Suddenly he made me duck down behind a rose bush. We were mere inches apart, and his uneven breaths from running were brushing my cheek lightly. It felt warm.

.
God Nova, quite being such a freak. You're mad at him remember!

"We are going to hid here until someone passes by, then we attack." He whispered in my ear. It sent chills up my spine. He looked at me with confused eyes. Urg. I was probably staring.

"Got it." I assured. He gave me a small smile, and peaked out from the bush. Our deep breathing were the only thing that I could hear, except for the distant shrieks. His large rough hand, still interlocked with mine, squeezed two times my small sweaty hand, like if he was making sure I was still there.

He looked back at me, looking deep in my eyes. We were so close to each other, our faces no more then two inches away. We stayed like that for some time, his eyes sealed on mine, as if words never existed and we were talking just by looking at each other. It was truly amazing.

Sounds of footsteps passing broke our staring, as we looked from outside the bush to see who it was. Paul and Timothy from Section A, wearing blue wristbands. Oliver's hand pulled me up, and started slowly walking outside the bush. With the fingers on the other hand, he counted down: 3...2...1... And when his hand return to a fist, reaching zero, we started running toward them.

They turned around at the last moment to see us a few feet away, but it was too late. We tapped the top of their hands, and they groaned in annoyance. They handed over their blue bracelets that we slipped on.

"I knew that it was a bad idea to have you as a partner!" Timothy said to Paul.

"It's not my fault you're bad at tag! What did you play when you were a child? Dolls?" Paul laughed at his own joke, which made my chuckle.

"I knew it was a good idea to choose you as a partner." Oliver said, giving me a wink. I smiled back.

"You're not to bad yourself." I answered giving him a small shoulder bump.

"Okay gentlemen, we have a game to win, so if you'll excuse us..." Oliver told Paul and Timothy while grabbing my hand and leading us the opposite way. We had to get a purple and an orange wristband, from sections B and D, to win the game. Oliver led us to the back entrance of Sunrise. Right as we entered, we heard loud shrieks from another part of the ground level. People were in here, and we needed to take their wristbands.

Oliver and I started hiding behind anything we could find. More quick-paced footsteps were heard close by. Oliver put his index finger to his lips, telling me to not talk. No shit, way to state the obvious. What if I just started screaming? That thought made me giggle, but made Oliver annoyed. He looked at me with furrowed eye brows and emphasized his finger on his lips. Oups...

We repeated our past actions, like the last time we cough Paul and Timothy. This time it was two people from section D we didn't know. I apologized for taking their purple wristbands while Oliver had a victorious smile on his face, but not big enough to show his dimples.

"One last wristband until the win!" He almost shouted.

"Go team... Us?" I hesistated.

"You betcha!" His smile still present. He to a step forward, turned around and bent down. "Jump" he said.

"You want to give me a piggy-back ride?" I asked, my voice full of surprise.

"No, I just like standing in this position." Sarcasm filled his voice, with a hint of joke.

"Well, have fun down there. I'm going to go try to get our last wristband, okay?" Good comeback Nova! I applauded myself from the inside.

"Stop talking and jump on my back, would you?" He asked, but it sounded more like a command. All I did was huff in response and jump in his back.

When he stood up, I felt so tall. My head rested on his left shoulder, and one of my hands rested on his right shoulder. I felt his curls brush against my check, which tickled.

"Are you ready?" He asked.

"For wha-" he didn't let me finish and started running.

"Oliverrrrrrrr" I screamed "Slow downnnn!"

He didn't slow down.

"Ahhhhhhh!" I shrieked, and all he did was laugh. "I am not kidding! Oliver!"

He continued running, wind brushing his thick hair against my head that was no longer rested on his shoulder but swaying backwards. A small childish laugh escaped from his lips that warmed my heart. His strong hands rested on my thighs, not budging at my light kicks.

"Stop moving! Or I'm just going to let you go, and you'll fall!"

"You wouldn't..." I said, but I knew he would.

"Are you testing me Nova?" I could sense a smile on his face while he was saying that.

"I take it back, now keep running. We need to get our last wristband!"

"Glade you changed your mind. Hold on!" And he started running even faster, which made me shriek like a teenage girl. Weirdly, I felt... Happy? No, it was the thrill making me feel this.

He stop abruptly. Big Ben and Bea were heading our way, but luckily they didn't notice us. Oliver ducked, and I got off his shoulder, my feet touching the ground. Gravity feels good. Their footsteps started getting closer and closer, and we could start hearing their voices.

"I don't even know who she thinks she is!" Bea said. "She thinks she's all that, but she really isn't."

Who is she talking about?

"I know. I wanted to have fun with her, but the new guy came and beat me up! What an ass." Big Ben answered. Oh. They were talking about Oliver and I. "That guy thinks he can just come here, and he'll rule the place."

"But, he is fucking attractive, I mean, his face is gorgeous. The things I would do to him." Bea smirked.

"Shut up. I don't give a fuck about his face. I would pound it until he was disfigured if I had the chance." I really hope Oliver didn't hear that, but he's right next to me, so he must have. I hear him take a deep breath. He stood up quickly, so I mirrored him.

"What do you know! Its beauty and the beast!" Bea said laughing at me.

"What did you say?" Oliver asked Bea in a threatening voice.

"Fuck off." Big Ben interrupted. He had many bruises all over his face, a big blue and purple one over his eye, and a cut on his lip. The way he was standing made me tell that he was in pain on his side, maybe his leg? Or both. I started feeling bad for him, but that feeling ended as soon as it had arrived. I couldn't fee pity for someone who was going to take advantage of me. Karma hit him hard. No, more like Oliver hit him hard.

"You said you wanted to pound my face? Go ahead. Try me." Oliver threatened.

"Don't-" I put my hand in front of him, trying to stop him. Big Ben took a step closer.

"What are you going to do tough guy?" Oliver said, a devilish smile on his face. His eyes were black, and I hated seeing him this way. It... scared me?

"Ha!" Ben said. "You think you're all that, right?" He took a step forward. He was just about three feet away now, and my heart was beating.

"I'm better than you." And Ben took another step forward.

"And how is that?" Ben questioned. Oliver swiftly brought his hand up, and tapped on Ben's head. He then put his hand forward.

"Give me your goddamn wristband." Oliver said. I quickly went and tapped Bea's head who seemed disgusted by the fact that i'd touch her head. She mumbled a small 'whatever' under her breath.

They both handed us their wristbands that we slipped on. We now had all the colors: blue, orange, green and purple. We won!

"How does it feel to lose?" Oliver said with a smirk plastered on his face. He grabbed my hand forcefully and started leading the way away from them, and towards the table of results.

"I'm not done with you!" Ben screamed back at us.

"Well, I sure fucking am." Oliver spat back.

We turned the corner and we were back at the big garden/field with a big white table set up. We made our way towards it. Two women and a man were sitting down.

"Hi. Hum... We have every color wristbands..." I said shyly.

"Oh! That's great! I guess you guys won! What team are you in?" A brown hair, 35 year old women asked us.

"We are in section C, the green team." I said. The women picked up the small speaker phone from the table, and put her mouth to it.

"We have our winners! Team C has won! Please come back to the starting point." She announced through the speaker phone, and her voice was heard all throughout Sunrise. A few seconds have past when we saw people starting to arrive from all sides, left right and straight from the house. The were all looking at us: the winners who brought back all the colored wristbands, and I couldn't help but feel proud.

"Nova! We won!" Oliver said picking me up by the waist and turning me around. My legs flew, and I felt his tight grip around me. My head tucked itself in his chest. I felt like I was flying, and it felt good. I laughed, and he laughed. I was happy, in this moment. But I knew that once my feet touched the ground again, I'd be back to reality.

Once he stopped turning, he just stood there, still holding me, our faces mere inches a part. His eyes were switching from my eyes to my lips, and I couldn't help but do the same. His plump lips were less than an inch away, and all I wanted to do was close the gap. His deep breathing brushes against my face, and made a chill run down my back. I wondered how it would feel to have his lips against mine.

I'm pretty sure it feel amazing.

"Here are our winners!" The redhead boy from earlier on yelled while approaching us. Oliver instantly put me down. I was right, once my feet touched the ground, I was back to my real life: in rehab, because I was the weird girl who hurt herself. The red head patted us both on the back. "I guess we got ourselves a movie night einh?" He said with a grin. I smiled back at him, but I had a weird feeling at the pit of my stomach. Disappointment? No, I couldn't be disappointed that he didn't kiss me right?

No, I couldn't be.
