Chapter 24 - Shattered

So I was gonna upload this on Monday, but a lot of people were getting da feels on the last chapter and I wanted to give you more! xD

Mitch's POV

"Brianna, do you remember me at all?"

"No...I only remember you when we were having a baby."

I sighed angrily.

"Look, Mister whatever your name is. I am sorry that I can't remember anything. I don't even remember coming here!"

My eyes directed towards the end table in the room which had the engagement ring on it.

I picked it up and held it in my hand. "Why did you take this off?"

She inspected the ring in my hand. "I barely remember or even know you. Why should I be engaged to a man I don't know or love?"

Tears formed in my eyes and a lump formed in my throat making it hard to swallow.

I couldn't handle being in that room so I got up and walked out of the room.

She forgot everything we had.

The love.
The memories, good and bad.
The connection.
Everything.

I will not give up on her, she now faintly remembers me and the baby. I asked the doctors if she could be released and they agreed.

"Mitch? Whats going on?" Jerome asked.

"I'm taking her home. I can't do this biggums."

"Its something you have to do. Stay strong Mitch. She will get her memory back."

I drove her and Jerome back home and she got something.

"What?" I asked.

"I remember something. We came here and had nerf guns or something."

"Yes. You shot me in the dick." Jerome added causing her to laugh a little.

The night went on. I couldn't sleep, all I wanted to do is hold her while she slept.

But she doesn't love me anymore.

Because I was forgotten.

Life isn't a fairytale, we don't live happily ever after.

Because what we had became shattered. (reference to the Prologue :3)

I was laying down in my bed when I heard a terrifying scream.

It was Brianna's

I run into her room and she is cuddled in the corner of her room...but she has no clothes on and her hair is a complete mess.

"My..my..aunt."

"You remember?"

"You...you saved me from her."

"Y-Yes"

She then hugged me and began to cry on my shoulder.

"Mitch...Mitchell Donald Ralph Hughes...BajanCanadian...YouTube...my best friends brother." she said out loud.

I let go of her.

"You...you remember!"

Her face turned from sadness to confusion to shock.

"Y-Yes...yes I do! I remember everything!"

She cries tears of joy and so do I. Then she pushes her lips against mine and started pulling me towards the bed.

And that night, we got lost in the bedsheets.
