Grace's POV

When I wake up, I almost don't recognize that I'm in my room.

What the hell happened to me last night? Gosh, I'm so pathetic.

I hurry to the bathroom and take a quick shower. The cool water clears my mind and I'm ready to just have an amazing day. Knowing Maria, she probably has something planned and I'm not going to spoil it for either of us.

After I get ready, I walk down the hall to the kitchen to make breakfast.

"GRACE! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!" I'm greeted by bear hugs from Maria and Rachel at the same time.

We seperate and laugh, and I can see the breakfast they made me. Bacon, eggs, cheese, pancakes... this is what heaven looks like.

"Thank you so much guys! I just hope Maria didn't cook this!"

"Ha, like you thought I would let her near any of this." We all burst into laughter.

Today's going to be a good day.

After a surprisingly pleasant day at work, I go back home, expecting there to be peace and quiet. Instead, the second I walk through the door, Maria is pestering me and telling me to put on the dress she bought me for my birthday. It's an extremely elegant purple dress, and I put it on quickly while Maria continues to bother me.

"You need to leave your hair down! It's really pretty, stop putting it up!"

"Put on some perfume, I can smell the movie theater popcorn."

"What do you think your doing? You can't wear Toms with that dress!"

"Hurry up! We have to leave in like 10 minutes!"

"Maria!!!! What is going on?"

"You'll see. Just get in Rachel's car. She's driving us."

The ride is about half an hour long and I'm starting to get nervous, but whenever I try to talk, Maria yells at me to shut up.

This better be worth it.

Rachel finally pulls in a parking lot and I notice where we are.

"Oh hell no. I'm not going in there."

"Grace! We booked the place for you!"

"And how on earth did you do that, Rachel? With what money?"

"See, about that......" I don't even let her finish.

"You've got to me kidding me. You're telling me that you made One Direction book a nightclub for my twentieth birthday party?"

"Actually -"

"Yes! That's exactly what we're saying. Please, just let loose and have fun. Don't worry about anything. Please. For me?"

This is insane. Rachel is giving Maria a look for interrupting her and I have no idea what's going on. I abruptly open the door to my car and walk towards the club.

"Grace! Where are you going?"

"To the club!" I yell behind me. I can tell that they're surprised. Heck, I am too. But I told myself that nothing is going to ruin today, and I meant that. If we got a club booked, then I'll just have to party.

They let me in easily, but I slow down once I go inside. The room is big, too big. I can see the DJ's table, the bar table, and I can see the dance floor. That's a problem.

Why is nobody here?

The lights dim and now I can't see anything at all. I swear if this is some prank, Maria and Rachel aren't going to hear the end of it...
