A New Day

I woke up the next day, went through the same routine as yesterday. "I wonder why Ravyn wanted to see me again?" I thought to myself. I put on some blue jeans, a black t-shirt, red converse, and I slipped on black studded wrist cuff I liked to wear. I hurried off to the park to meet her again. I arrived at the park a few minutes later. I saw her sitting on a nearby bench. She was wearing ripped jeans, a blue hoodie, and black skate shoes. She looked in my direction. She immediately got up and started waving at me. I walked over to the bench she was at, and sat down next to her. "Hi Akira!" She cheered. "Hey Ravyn." I replied. "So, I told you to meet me because I thought I should repay you for yesterday." She said. "You really dont." I replied. "I want to." She said. "Why? You don't even know me." I said, confused. "Because. I like you." She said with a smile. I stopped.....did I just hear that right? She likes me? I could feel my face getting really hot. "Really?..Why?" I asked. "You seem like a really nice guy." She told me. My face got even hotter when she said that. "Well...what exactly do you have planned?" I asked. She got up from the bench and flashed a smile at me. "Well come on and I'll show you." I followed her. We walked on for a while until we arrived at a small pavilion. It was very pretty, like something out of a movie. There was a long paved trail, with a row of cherry blossoms down the entire thing. "Wow" I said. "It's beautiful isnt it?" She agreed. She kept on walking until we came to a pond, which glistened in the afternoon sun. She took a seat on the bank. On instinct I followed. We stared at it for a while until she spoke. "This is my favorite spot. I come here all the time." She said. "It's very pretty, I never knew this was here." I replied. Then I looked at her and realized that she was looking down and.....sad. "Hey...are you ok?" I asked her. She looked up at me, I could tell she was fighting tears. "I'm sorry...it's just...I have no friends....nobody likes me." She said a bit shakily. I couldn't find the words. They were there...I just couldn't say them. "I..I like you." I finally said. She then looked at me...her eyes filled with tears. "Huh?" She said. "I like you Ravyn." I said again. She again smiled at me. "So...you'll be my friend?" She asked me. "Of course." I replied. At that she threw her arms around me, and embraced me. My face was on fire, id never felt this way before. "Well..I have to go. I'll see you tomorrow Akira!" She said as she got up and disappeared from view. "Bye Ravyn." I said. "Wow." I said to myself. Well...I guess my life isn't so bad after all.
