I raced home, my head was spinning with anger and conufusion. I got back to my small apartment, grabbed my phone and called the number Ravyn left me. It rang twice and then I heard:"Hello". I knew it was her, I had learned her voice. "Hey it's Akira." I responded. "Oh hi. I've been waiting. Are you ok?" She asked. I could tell she was worried, I could hear the shake in her voice. "I'm ok. Just a little sore." I assured her. "Oh thank god, I was so scared, I thought they had really hurt you." She said. "I'm fine, what about you?" I asked. "I'm ok." She said. "But, why?" I knew what she meant. That law. "I know, that law makes no sense at all." I said. "Yeah, why should it matter who we like?" She asked. "I don't know." I agreed. Then I heard something that displeased me greatly. She was crying. "Ravyn? What's wrong?" I asked her. "I'm just sad, because of that law, we can't see each other." She sobbed. "Its ok." I tried to reassure her, it was no use. She cried and cried. "Ravyn, I will see you again." I said. "Huh?" She asked through her tears. "I'm not gonna let that law keep me from seeing you Ravyn." I said. "R-really?" She asked. "Yes. I promise you. We will see each other again." I assured her. "Th-thank you Akira." She said. "I'll see you tomorrow at the park, by the pond at midnight." I told her. "Ok I'll see you there. Bye." She said. I said my goodbyes and ended the call. I realized that what I was doing was treason, but I don't care. I'll do anything for a friend.
