Carmen's POV:
When we got home, I ran straight up to my room and threw myself on the bed. I was very frustrated. I was still in shock of what just happened at the police station. I'm for sure am done with Raquel. I really hope she gets into trouble. How dare she drag me to a party, that I didn't even want to go to, gets drunk, and runs off leaving me her half drunken bottle!? I was knocked out of my thoughts when I heard someone call my name.
"Carmen, can you come down here please?" called my dad from downstairs.
I walked out of my room and quickly ran down the stairs to the kitchen.
" Your mom and I have something very important to talk to you about."
"And that is...?" I said waiting for an answer.
"Well, you know how you've been getting shocked a lot lately?" he asked.
"Yes, but what does this have to do with anything?"
"Honey, there are some things that your father and I have kept away from you for a very long time." my mom started. "Well, A very long, long time ago, your ancestors, Layla and Marley were very close people until there was a fued between them. Before Layla met Marley, she was cursed. She was cursed with evil. Layla had the same symptomys you are having. Marley had no idea about the curse. There was a disagreement among the two girls, which led to a fight. A fight that neither girls won in."
"Where is this story going?" I asked her.
"Carmen, Layla had powers. They was given to her by a guy named Ethan, who was crushing on her at the time. She turned him down, so the curse was given. "
"Wait a minute, so your saying that this Layla girl had supernatural powers?!" I asked with some anger.
"Yes. And so do you." she stated.
