∆ Chapter Five ∆
*Jo’s POV*
I was still quite overwhelmed from that meeting. I was fiddling with the piece of paper (well, receipt) in my hand as Sarah and I wandered down the street, not bothering to rush, just enjoying the moment. We haven’t really talked to each-other since the meeting, probably because we were still shocked we got to meet them. Well, actually, I’m not shocked, but I’m really excited and happy that Niall gave me his number, as I think being friends with him would be great. Sarah is probably doing flips of happiness in her head since she got to spend some alone time with her celebrity crush. I’m still not obsessed or whatever, like if I saw them again right now I’d probably not be that bothered, and I don’t really have an urge to see another one of their concerts since it’s not really my type of music, but I think it was…interesting.
After what seemed like a lifetime, Sarah turned to me. “That…was…awesome.” She says slowly, pronouncing every word carefully to me as if I may be unable to understand her or something.
I give her an uncommitted shrug. “It was alright, I guess.” The receipt was burning a hole in my hand, telling me to tell her. Like with most things I do, I level out the good and bad sides of telling her. The good thing would be that we could freak out together and get really excited; maybe she could come with me and meet Louis if I’d ask Niall to invite him. However, the bad side would be that maybe she’d get TOO overexcited, tell everyone and get us both swarmed. She’d be that desperate to get attention. I’d decided the bad side kind of outweighed the good side, so maybe I should call Niall first before telling Sarah anything. By this time, I hadn’t noticed that she’d been frowning at me.
“Alright?! ALRIGHT?! How can you say it was just ‘alright’ when we just met the hottest guys ever?” Her eyes are almost bugging out of her head, she seems to be quite serious on the matter.
I shake my head solemnly. “Oh god, Sarah, you’re acting like you’re twelve or something. Like a fan girl! We need to compose ourselves and just be calm about it, otherwise we’ll just be embarrassing.” I say pointedly, pausing to look at her. “Oh, and I beg to differ about the hottest guy ever thing. If you were talking about Brad Pitt, for example, then I would understand. I mean, have you seen him recently?” I stare straight ahead, having a short day-dream about Brad. Mmm.
She rolls her eyes at me. “You sound so boring when you use big words like that, kind of sound like my mother. ESPECIALLY when she talks about Brad Pitt.” She then used a high pitched voice, to mock me. “Ooh, we need to COMPOSE ourselves.”
“I always talk like that!” I protest, kicking a rock at her. It misses sadly.
“Exactly.” She giggles. “Boooooring.”
“I dislike you a lot.”
“Whatever.”
There’s a long silence whilst I think about what we could do now, we still have the whole day ahead of us. Well, we had the whole summer, even.
Sarah was obviously thinking the same thing.
“What are we going to do now?”
