ᴕᴥ Chapter Ten ᴥᴕ
*Louis’ POV*
It took Liam, Zayn and Harry ages to make their way back to the bus. But when they did, their hands were full of shopping bags. Zayn’s especially.
“Woah. How big is your outfit, Malik?” Niall’s eyes widened.
“Um, well.” He shifted from one foot to the other. “I may have bought a few other things as well.”
I roll my eyes. “A few?”
He gives in. “Okay fine. Most of the things that I am carrying are clothes that have no relevance to the convention. There. I said it. But seriously, this shirt I bought is really cool, look at it!”
We all stare at the plain red polo shirt. “Was that an impulse buy Zayn? I swear you already have something like that?” Liam asks, reaching out to touch it.
Zayn slaps his hand away. “It may have been, and I don’t care, this one is probably redder.”
“So who have you decided to go as in the end?” Niall asks.
Zayn opens up a bag, which had a couple of green pieces of clothing in it. “I’m going to go as the green one.”
“Which green one?”
Zayn’s eyes bug out. “There’s more than one green one?”
We all sigh at him, there’s just no hope for some people. He’s so un-nerdy it hurts. I check the time on my phone. There’s about an hour and a half before it starts, so we better get a move on. I sit back on the sofa.
“Should we try them on now so we don’t have to change at the event?” Harry suggests.
We all agree, taking in turns to go into the bathroom.
I’m up first, taking in my bag. It was quite hard to put on in such a small place, almost knocking over the cabinet quite a substantial amount of times. I put the one-piece suit thing on first, then slip on the turtle shell. There was even a mask to go with it, so I popped that on and burst through the door shouting: “SQUIRTLEEEEEEE.”
The boys gave me a round of applause. Harry pushed past me next, eager to show us his.
After quite a while, he launched through the door, getting stuck in the progress. From what I could see, he looked slightly like a large pink marshmallow with big blue eyes. All of us apart from Niall stared in confusion as Harry started to sing about Jigglypuff. He pulled the mask off his face, looking a bit guilty.
“I think I may have broken the cabinet putting the shoes on. I kind of heaebutted the mirror and it kind of probably fell off a little bit.” He stood there looking sheepish. Well, as sheepish as a large fat pink character could look.
Zayn rushed in to check the damage, letting out a wail to see the mirror had a large crack through it.
I sighed. “Zayn don’t be so dramatic, you can still basically see your face. And you also have your many other mirrors. Just get your kit on.” I throw his outfit at him and he slowly closes the door, looking distressed.
He must’ve taken the longest, approximately half an hour I would think. When he came out, he honestly didn’t look much different. He hadn’t checked the costume store it seemed; only wearing a hand crafted green t-shirt with a yellow bit in the middle. He was also wearing green skinny jeans and green shoes. His hair was gelled down and he wasn’t wearing a mask.
“Hello! I’m Zayn, but you can call me…” He gives a little twirl. “SHIVY.”
“…What?”
