CHAPTER TWENTY NINE: Mystery Unfolds

👑Aron's POV👑

My brain has stopped working. How do I make her believe? It's for her own good. Jess needs to know that guy is dangerous. I can't put her life in risk. Please Jesus, help me find a way out.

At that moment my cellphone vibrated, the text was unexpected actually. It was from none other than Jess.

"We need to talk. Meet me at the cafe beside our school."

Is she okay? I need to meet her. It's been almost as difficult as not breathing. Every fucking time, I've been hurting her. I think I need to clear everything.
I rushed to the cafe as soon as I could drive. I never drove like this before, it was totally insane. Finally when I got there, I saw Jess, the most beautiful girl I've ever seen walking from side to side waiting for me. I got off the car and ran to hug her. Before I could, she pushed me away.

"Listen Aron, I called you to talk. First of all, I'd like to tell you that you were wrong. Your accusation on Dean was false. How could you stoop so low, Aron. He has been helping your so called girlfriend Tiffany all time. Her brother sent him to keep an eye on her for her safety. Yet, you kept talking rubbish about him. You disgust me." She spitted on the ground. Every word out if her mouth was echoing in my head. If Dean's not the guy, who is it? Everything's so messed up right now. I think it's time to clear everything.

I cleared my throat, "Jess I'm sorry for every fucking lie I've told you. I think you need to know the truth. Can we go somewhere else? It's not the right place for this conversation."

She was looking confused but she eventually agreed. I drove to the place, where everything started. The place where we first talked openly, the place our first kiss happened, the best day of my life.

I knew she recognised the place and looked at me,"Why the fuck did you get me here? I don't want any explanation. I'm going."

Before she could walk away, I got hold of her hand and pulled her to my chest. She was breathing heavily, I could see she was nervous.

"Jess, you need to hear me out. Please, if you ever loved me don't walk away."

She looked at me, her face was as bright as the sun. We both sat down.

I started,"Now I'm going to tell you from the beginning. First of all you should know that Tiffany's not my girlfriend. We've been acting all along so that you would stay away from me." I was looking at the ground now.

She muttered, "Why the fuck would you want me to stay away from you and why did she help you anyway?"

I said hesitantly, "Because she wanted to return the favour. The other day I saved her from her ex boyfriend. And I wanted you to stay away from me so that you could be safe, Jess. I love you and I care for you. I can't see you getting hurt."

She gave me a sarcastic look and said,"Ooh! So now you are making up stories, huh? I'm in danger? Tell me how. "

I said,"Because you are in danger, even you know it but you never told me. You were getting calls from a guy, right? The guy who killed your brother."

She said with a look of shock, "How the fuck do you know all this stuff?"

"Because I know everything. I don't know how to put this in words, but the truth is I had been acting all the time to keep you safe. You don't even know the truth about your brother's death. I purposely lied, so that Tyler would tell you and you would hate me and stay away from me. But the truth is I love you Jess, more than you could imagine."

Jess said in disbelief,"Aron I'm not getting you. What the hell are you talking about? Why would you want me to hate you when we both know we love each other. How does it make me safe? I'm can't understand. "

"I made a deal with my that guy. The guy who wants to kill you. Who killed your brother. He wanted me to stay away from you, so that you would be completely broken. He threatened me to kill you if I don't break your heart. So I had to do all this."

She was still looking shocked, "What the fuck! How does our lives getting ruined helps him? He killed my brother! Now, he wants to break me from inside. Why?"

I took a deep breath,"Because he hates both of us. We are the reason he's in jail. He's the killer of your brother Cam and my brother James. He's responsible for all the blunders that happened in our life."

After hearing this, she was in complete tears. Her face had turned pale. She was shivering. I held her hand tightly,"You need to muster the courage to know the truth Jess. You need to know what happened five years ago."

Then I finally started to mutter,"It was five years ago...."
