•••Chapter 1•••
•••Boys and Dancing•••
I step out of my shiny sky blue Mini Cooper. The air smells stale, but not the same kind of stale as a nursing home. It smelled like sweat and cheap tequila. For most people my age, this is an exhilarating smell. I guess it is in a way... It means partying without limits and time to go crazy, wild, and free.
But to me it smells like the cops are gonna bust us for sure and if not I'll probably do things I know I'll regret along with the hangover I'm destined to wind up with tomorrow. Woop, woop.
I scan my surroundings, practically already bored. I've been to way to many parties to count, and the thrill is just gone.
But if I want to keep my ferocious reputation, I'll haveto get my game face on. I do just that as I step up to a girl in my grade I've met a couple of times. "Hey, love your hair," I comment with a dazzling smile.
"Thanks, Ashlynn!" She's practically bubbling with excitement...I tend to have that effect on people. Which lead me to think two things. A.,Prom Queen is practically already mine. and B., I feel a twinge of guilt that I barely know who this girl is, yet she's fangirling over me.
I glide through the guests and socialize fo the next couple of hours, meeting up with Cammy and Jen along the way. Everything is already a blur and I can't remember anyone's names to save my life. But I water down some drinks so poeple will think its more the alcohol's fault than that of my crappy memory.
I'm starting to get tired and considering sneaking out when I turn around, sloshing a little bit of my seven up (in a shot glass, no less) onto someone's shirt. "Ohmygod, I'm so sorry,"I blurt out in shock.
But thankfully the owner of this shirt lets out a familar smooth laugh. " How many of those have you had tonight?" Ryan asks me with a grin. One of his friends comes by and punched Ryan's fist shakily, obviously high. Once he leaves, Ryan comes in and holds my waist as we kiss fiercely, only pausing so he can whisper to me,"How many real glasses did you have? And how many were soda?"
