Mia: I have to say I'm impressed not everyone takes a murder trial right off the bat.

Mia: So why'd you do it
Phoenix: Actually I owe the client a favor
Mia: You know that guy
Mia gestured to a guy shaking a security guard.
Larry: You gotta hook me up man. Kill me kill me. KILL ME!
Phoenix: Uh...yeah. Actually I kinda owe my current job to him.
Mia: That's news to me
Larry walked over
Larry: Nick please you'll tell then I did it right. My life is over without my Cindy-windy. Tell them I'm guilty.
Phoenix: I have my work cut out for me.
Phoenix: My name is Phoenix Wright I'm a defense attorney. My first case is a fairly simple one. A young woman was killed in her apartment. They arrested the poor sap dating her one of my best friends: Larry Butz. Our school had a saying: when something smells it's usually the Butz. In all the years I've known him it's been true but he's innocent this time and I'm going to prove it.
Mia and Phoenix stepped into the defenses bench. An old man with a hunched back stepped into the Prosecutors bench.
Judge: Court is now in session for the trial of Larry Butz.
Payne: The Prosecution is ready Your Honor
Phoenix: The defense is re-ready Your Honor.
Judge: Mr. Wright your client's fate is determined by your behavior are you ready?
Phoenix: Ye-yes.
Judge: All right than let me ask a few questions to prove your readiness. First of all who is the defendant.
Phoenix: The defendant is Larry Butz, Your Honor.
Judge: Who is the victim?
Phoenix looked at the court record under Mia's request.
Phoenix: Cindy Stone
Judge: Correct and finally the cause of death
Phoenix: Lose of blood due to a blow from a blunt object
Judge: Very well you appear to be ready. Mr.Payne.
Payne: Yes Your Honor.
Judge: What was the item that was used as a murder weapon.
Payne smiled
Payne: It was a statue of the thinker it also bears the fingerprints of the defendant on nearly every surface.
Larry: You like it I made it myself.
A guard hit him with a stick and he slumped down.
Payne: The Prosecution sees no reasons to doubt the facts of this case.
(Phoenix: He said he made it of course his fingerprints were all over it)
