chapter 6

"Guys, wait. I have something here." I said.
"What?" asked Jared, full of mud in his shirt.
"A pokeball. It has my name written on it."
"Try trowing it, it might have a Pokémon inside." suggested Logan.
I threw it up and the Pokéball threw a red beam.
"Lugia!"
"Oh god, guys. It's a baby Lugia!" I said, surprised. Obviously the others were surprised. "We gotta show this little cutie to the headmaster as quick as we can."
"Let's go then!" said James.
"No no no! Do ya think I'm going to the headmaster full of mud?" I asked.

I quickly stopped in my room to change clothes. Lyra, Chrissy and Ashley weren't there. They were gone buying new clothes for Chrissy in the mall. I bet she'll return full of dresses.
I got outta my room and we all ran to the headmaster's room.
There was a butler in front so it really was that room.
"We wish to see the headmaster. It's urgent." I said.
"Only two can enter." he said in a monotonous tone.
"I'll go with her." volunteered Jared.
Wow, how brave, Jared. You just volunteered for the Hunger Games. The others nodded and we went inside. Some chairs were there so we sat.
"What if this gets you into trouble?" I asked him.
"Don't worry. We just gotta solve this thing. Ah, and by the way, what do you want for Christmas?"
"Hmmm... I don't really know... what about you?"
"A new Pokégear, definitively. Mine's got broken yesterday. But I wouldn't ask it to you. It's way too expensive."
"I just had an idea..." I whispered.
"Hey students!" said a female voice. "I'm the headmaster, Tanya Lee. Sorry I am late, but I was with my husband, George Lee. So, what's your problem?''
"Look. I found this in the mud."I said. I told her the story.
"Not again." She said. She kept whispering that to herself till she remembered that we were waiting. "Tomorrow you 1st graders were going to catch their second Pokémon. Hope you don't mind to keep that one and don't catch any tomorrow. Then, tomorrow night, I want you here. After dinner, and bring two trusted friends like, this guy, Jared and a girl. We have to investigate that. I'll have to talk to you later."
Mrs. Tanya Lee looked stressed so I asked:
"Is everything okay?"
"No, no it isn't. Just... Don't forget."
Okaaaaaaay.
"Tomorrow, can I train with little Lugia?" I asked.
"Yes, now, officially, that Lugia is yours." she said, while writing something in a paper that had my name on it. "Do you want to give her a nickname?"
"Yep. She'll be Avi, the Lugia." I said.
"Ok! It's official that Stormy West has a female Lugia called Avi." she said. "Then, good night!"
We went with us until the door and opened it.
"I suggest you to go outside. It isn't dinner time yet. You can play with Avi!" she suggested. "That's your decision. Bye!"
We got out and I turned to Jared.
"Didn't it seem like she was on a rush?" I asked.
"Yup. So strange. Maybe she'll be with her husband."
"Maybe. I was here thinking... Maybe it's something mysterious, like an adventure. Mrs Lee was panicking."
"Well I bet she'll tell us that tomorrow night. Have you chosen the girl who's coming with us?"
Oh, my dear Jared. Who told you were going? Kidding.
"Yep, it's Lyra."
"Ok. Do you wanna play with Avi?"
"Yes, and you?"
"I want too."
I smiled.
"Ok cutie, I choose you!"
Avi appeared from the red beam and she smiled.
"Lugia!"
"Hi! I'm Stormy, your new trainer. I hope you like the name Avi!" I told her.
She seemed to understand every single word I said. I turned to Jared and turns out that he was suspecting it too.
"Can you talk?" I asked.
Avi didn't open her mouth, but we both heard what she said.
"Yes! Pleased to meet you! Who's that guy? Is it your boyfriend?"
Touché. I tried my best to not blush.
I also tried my best not to look at Jared, because he would see me blush and he would know.
Too late. I looked at him, and something amazing happened: he was also blushing!
He held my hand and we ran. Avi flew behind us. Our school is next to the beach and part of it is school property. We ran to it and sat in the sand, watching the beautiful sun set. We got closer and closer... Until we kissed. This was the best day of my life. When he broke the kiss, I looked at him in the eyes.
"Stormy, will you be my girlfriend?"
I nodded, without thinking.
"Yes."
Then, we kissed again.

"How can you explain the time you spend with Jared?" asked Lyra.
We were in the dormitory and Chrissy and Ashley were out somewhere.
"Well..." I began.
"Well?"
My embarrassment in that moment was 100%. I mean, she was about to discover.
"We're... Kind of... Together..." I said slowly.
"Oh my gosh! I knew it! I knew it! I want details."
I told her how everything happened and how I needed her help.
"Sure! Let's all have dinner together to see the headmaster then!"
