Chapter 9

I woke up with the sound of the 'get up' bell.

"Man, I'm hungry." I said as I picked my uniform and started to get dressed up.

"You're a lost case, you're always hungry!" answered Lyra.

"Oh well. I wanna train. Look, today's Saturday." I began, brushing my hair. "You know Monday we're having the totally random battles for evaluation, right?"

This seemed to freak her out.

"Wh-wha-what?! Monday?!" She asked, totally panicked.

"Yep." I replied calmly, amused with her panic.

"Please help me! Please!" she begged, falling on her knees.

"For me it's ok, but you'll have to deal with the boys: Jared, James, Logan and Sylvain."

"Ok, so that means you'll help me?"

"Yes, if you join us."

"I'm in!"

"Avi, use Aeroblast and Mudkip, you use Hidro Pump!" I commanded.

They agreed and delivered the finishing blow. I won, and Logan went to his Pokémon.

"Hey, you both did a great job. Now get some rest" he said as he put his Pokémon back in their pokéball.

"Good match." he said as he smiled.

I smiled back. Avi and Mudkip had been training a lot. I mean it, a LOT!

"Good job, buddies!" I complimented as Mudkip jumped to my left shoulder. "Who's next?

Finally, the day had come. We had been training crazily a lot, and had grew a lot stronger. My least favourite teacher, Mrs. Malone, was controlling the matches. I just hope she doesn't make me loose on purpose.

"Next match is..." she said in her irritant voice. "Stormy West vs Michael Clark!"

Whoo, it's me! Finally! A muscled older boy I've never seen before got up and headed for the battlefield. So did I. All my friends were cheering for me, which made me feel good.

Michael threw a pokéball in the air, showing an Excadrill.

"So brat, are you going to

start or not?"

This guy had no idea about what would happen after.
