Pokémon Academy [Pokemon fanfic]

Chapter 13

Hey guys! This is chapter 13. It'll be the last chapter of this book. After that, I'll finish one of my other books and post da sequel! So enjoy!

"Go, Phione!" screamed the girl as she sent her Pokéball.

"Go Mudkip!" I shouted.

/Let's win this!/

I nodded as mrs Malone talked a bit.

"Begin!" she finally yelled.

"Alright, Mudkip, start u p with--" I was interrupted by an explosion.

When the dust cleared, a man with a cape appeared. Detailed view: the cape guy!

He was flying on a Staraptor, and I sighted other 5 pokéballs in his belt. He threw something, which I think that was a shiny purple ball, that made a perimeter around the whole arena building. A lot of people started to panic, but Mrs Lee spoke.

"Everyone, gather inside!" all the students ran inside, but the cape guy didn't do anything. He didn't move a centimetre.

"I'll hold him up here!" I screamed to the headmistress.

Jared jumped down to the battlefield and joined me.

"Me too!" he shouted.

Mrs Lee just nodded as she went inside with the last students.

I assumed she was going to formulate a plan, but I have more urgent things to think about now.

"Jared go inside!" I said.

"No, Stormy" he refused with a soft smile. "I won't leave you here. I'll fight, by your side."

I smiled softly too as I turned to the cape guy and grabbed Avi's Pokéball.

"Go Avi!" I screamed as my Lugia appeared.

"Go Grovyle!"

"Alright, Mudkip and Grovyle, jump on Avi's back!" I commanded.

Avi started flying with both our partners on.

"Now use Hydro Pump on Staraptor and--" once again, I was cut off by the cape guy.

"I didn't come here to fight. I want to talk to you, Stormy West." he said. "My actual name is Carter Blackwell and, opposite you might think, I am not the bad guy."

"Then who is?!" I asked angrily.

"That is easy. It's none other than Tanya Lee, your headmistress."

"What?! I don't believe you!"

"The story she told you is fake. Or at least part of it. What really happened started in our fourth grade. Tanya started to be interested in becoming headmistress. So she became exemplar. Best trained Pokémon. Best marks. Best everything. Well, I wanted to become headmaster too. So I worked even harder than she did. Finally, we were 19 and leaving the academy. The current headmaster was going to give its place to one of the students that had just finished school. Tanya and I were in the list of the ones that could be chosen, but in the day before the choosing ceremony, she knew I was going to be chosen, so she worked all night on a device that controlled Pokémon. She used it on the day of the ceremony and my Pokémon went berserk. I couldn't control them. So I became known as a criminal."

"Ooh, look who decided to show up." we turned to see our headmistress with a smirk on her face. "It's today, the day I'll finally kill you, Blackwell."

"So... Is it true was he said?" I asked, totally paralysed.

"Of course it is! Everyone fell for my little act and soon, that will be mine!"

Woah, how original. Why do all the villains do that?

"Those legendary Pokémon were attempts to save the city, but it's all gone now! My organisation is going to close a perimeter around this city. This has been planned for years, there is no way to you to escape!"

Oh no, we're in trouble. They are going to close all the entrances to the city!

"Go Heatmor!" she screamed. "Use fire blast on that man!"

Carter Blackwell, or the cape guy couldn't escape. He took the hit directly, and fell all the way down.

"Now, all that is left for me to control this city is to kill you two, that know the truth!"

Oh no. She's coming for us.

"Mudkip use Hydro Pump!" I command.

Mudkip launches a powerful beam of water and Heatmor doesn't move. He takes the hit like nothing had ever happened.

"Use fire blast!" she screams again.

She is going crazy and we won't be able to stop her! I see the Fire Blast coming. I won't be able to protect Jared and my Pokémon without getting hit. So my decision is made. I prepare myself as I enjoy my last breaths, knowing that I'll be hit by a Fire Blast and die.

"Bye everyone, I love you guys..." I shout as everything goes slowly and I turn to see that the fire type attack is here for me and that's it. I feel the hotness of the flames and scream by instinct as everything goes black...
