For the next few days, every time the bell on the door rang I would look to see if it was Taehyung. My heart would race and a huge smile would spread across my face as I always hoped it was him.

And when it wasn't, my mood would drop a little more each time.

I was starting to lose hope when Thursday rolled around. Neither of them had come back to the bakery to discuss their ideas with me. Maybe they really didn't like the cake and they were just being nice...

I was in charge of closing down the shop again tonight. I put away the new cake I was working on, then cleaned up the kitchen and did the dishes from today.

Once I was done in the back, I went to the front of the bakery and put all the chairs up, making sure everything was cleaned. When I was walking back to get my things, I looked over to the cupcake display.

There was only one more cinnamon apple cupcake left. I thought of Taehyung for the billionth time today and sighed. "Why am I like this?" I said aloud. I didn't even know him, yet my heart swelled whenever he crossed my mind.

I decided to take the last cinnamon apple one to eat at home, putting it in a little cupcake box before getting my bag and keys.

I shrugged my bag onto my shoulder, trying to balance the cupcake box in one hand and the large set of keys in the other. I turned the sign on the door to "closed" then started locking the inside of the door.

Before I could turn off the lights, something banged against the door, startling me. "Dammit, you made me drop my cupcake!" I shouted, surely loud enough for whoever was on the other side of the door to hear.

I bent over, picking up the box before looking up to see who scared me.

It was him.

I felt all the color drain from my face as I saw him smiling widely through the glass. When he waved, I finally snapped out of it and opened the door.

"I caught you too late, didn't I?" He asked, sounding a little disappointed. "What? Oh- no I was just about to close, but I could get you something if you need?" I told him, a little hopeful that he would need something from me.

"I just wanted to share the designs with you and I wanted to stop by on my way home. But I could come by tomorrow instead." He said, stepping out of my way so I could go through the door.

"No, I could look at them now if you want. I don't mind staying a little later!" I told him. Which was a lie. I never wanted to stay late. But if it was for him...it was okay.

"Are you sure?" He asked, looking at my bag and the cleaned up store behind me. I just nodded, probably too much, with a stupid smile on my face.

"Okay. Why don't we discuss it over coffee?" He suggested.

And there goes my heart. I'm pretty sure I had a mini heart attack.

I could feel myself blushing again. 'No, this isn't a date you idiot. He's getting married.' I thought to myself. "Yeah, that sounds nice." I told him, stepping out of the shop after turning out the light.

I locked the door then turned back to face Taehyung. "Sorry about the cupcake..." He said, a little shyly. Queue the next mini heart attack.

"Ah, don't worry about it." I smiled, shrugging it off. Being with him was much better than a stupid cupcake.

"Alright, well let's get going!" He smiled, laughing a little as he turned to walk down the sidewalk. He offered me his arm to take, and I was a tomato almost instantly.

Oh gosh, I wouldn't be able to survive walking a block with how things were going.

All I could do was smile back shyly, lightly holding onto his arm as he lead the way. I had to put all of my attention into putting one foot in front of the other, afraid I would trip on my own feet.

I was afraid I'd fall for him even more.
