I rushed out of the bakery as fast as I could, cake in hands. Taehyung was waiting at the car, opening the door to help me in.
"Hurry or we will be late!" I exclaimed, feeling nervous about getting to the wedding on time. I still had to put my hair up and fix my makeup while on our way there.
So much to do!
Taehyung started driving as I made sure the cake wouldn't fall over and be ruined. I tried to quickly pull my hair back into a loose updo, checking my makeup and touching up a few spots.
By the time I was done, we were already at our destination. As soon as the car was parked I hopped out and grabbed the cake, already walking to the entrance. "Wait!" Taehyung shouted.
I turned around, feeling rushed and out of breath from almost running late. "What Tae? I need to take care of the cake-"
I was interrupted with his lips on mine, his hands grasping my arms. "You look beautiful." He quietly said. "What was that for?" I asked, stumbling on my own words a bit.
"I just wanted to kiss my girlfriend and tell her how pretty she looks." Taehyung smiled at me with a little giggle, and of course, a blush crept up my face.
-
The wedding was absolutely beautiful, everything was set up nicely. Taehyung's cousin looked absolutely stunning, everyone including myself gasped once we saw her.
And of course, me being the little sucker I am for a good wedding, I got extremely emotional about the whole thing. I'm sure Taehyung thought I was insane since I barely even knew his cousin and I was acting like this.
But all he did was take my hand in his comfortingly when he saw that I was about to cry out of happiness.
There was a lot of dancing, a lot of food, a lot of speeches. Taehyung even made a toast for the new couple, saying a few words that made his cousin cry, and the rest of us feel like joining.
I don't understand how someone as sweet as him existed.

After a long day of celebration, Taehyung finally drove us back home. Well rather, my apartment. But he has been staying with me more than at his own place, even claiming a few drawers and counter space for himself.
I finished getting ready for bed first, turning on the twinkling lights he set up for me a few days ago as I crawled under the covers. Taehyung was talking to me from the bathroom, his mouth full of toothpaste while he was telling me something.
But I couldn't focus on what he was saying, I was lost in my own thoughts.
I watched happily as he jumped onto the bed, wiggling under the covers with me. We were facing each other, not saying a word as we just looked at one another.
I couldn't help but admire the little lights shining off his skin, how they made him glow even more. He had a certain look in his eye, like he was deep in thought as well.
"What are you thinking about?" I asked after a few more moments of silence. He took a second to answer as he stared back at me. I felt another blush rising to my cheeks.
"I'm thinking about how much I love you." He whispered, almost like it was a secret. I smiled at him, too embarrassed to speak. So all I could do was lean forward a bit and give him a light kiss before burying myself in his chest, not wanting to ruin the moment with me saying something stupid.
I don't know how long we laid there, or how long he had been asleep. But as I laid there, bundled up in all his warmth, the twinkling lights still slightly reflecting off the walls, off his skin, I couldn't help but wonder.
I don't know what he saw in me, or what I did to deserve him.
But whatever it was, I hoped this would never end.
