"It was because I was protecting something from someone." He sighed.
"Huh?" I gasped.
He reached into his pocket and took out a small box. He opened that small box and inside it was a necklace, made from pure silver chain and a pure-diamond orb. It glistened like the sun.
"This belongs to someone really special--"
"You didn't cheat on mother, didn't you?" I teased.
"No, no. He's a guy. He bought this necklace for someone special before he died, and it was the most wanted accessory, and ever since, people would kill to get this valuable jewel." He gave the box to me and he covered my hand with his. "I want you to protect this box, and give it to that guy's daughter, Kate. But don't give it to her now, give it to when she finally sees true happiness. If you lose this, you'll be able to lose your life too. The father was a good man."
"Why did you say that I can die from it and say that he's a good man so casually?!" I whined. "Where does she live now? How in the world am I supposed to know where she lives?" I asked.
"She lives here, in our hometown, and she's studying at XXXX Middle School, so I would like you to enroll there with her and protect her at all costs, too." He answered. "Learn some self defense if you have to Maddy, I'm counting on you!" He smiled.
I nodded and put the box inside my bag.

"It's time, Miss." The nurse told me as she escorts me into the hospital room. Dad wasn't as energetic as before and he was very skinny and limp. He can't open his eyes anymore and it just pains me seeing him already. "Dad..?" I come in, as I tear up. "I'm here now.." I held his hand and he felt my presence. He opened his eyes, just a little, to see my face. "Madeleine.." He whispers with his breath. He has no more energy to move enough unlike last time anymore. He smiled a bit and closed his eyes once again. "Dad.. I'm so sorry.. for everything.. and a-and thank you.." I started to stutter as I cried. I held onto his bony-like hands a little tighter. "I'll miss you, Dad."
He couldn't hear me anymore, and the more I look at him the more I break down into tears.
Nurses and doctors surround me as I held onto his hand, as the machine next to him slowly beep into one long beep sound. "He's gone, now." One of the nurse whispered to me. I kneel down next to his hospital bed and wiped off my tears.

[MADELEINE'S P.O.V]
"..Ever since that day, I started to enroll in self defense classes like taekwondo, gun-shooting lessons, knife and sword lessons too to protect myself from any hunters or people who try to steal the box away from me, and with that skill I also enrolled in the same school as Kate, protecting her until she finds that happiness.." I told Taehyung as I was driving him back to BigHit. "Is there any more filming for Hwarang anymore? I don't want to drive back and forth multiple times~" I whined. "Haha, ne, there's no more film shoots." He answered at the back seat. "So what happened next?"
"As I was saying," I sternly said.
"There was one day, she wanted to jump off the school building because of so many things happening to her. She used to be so fed up with her parent's scolding, but now she regretted everything and she wanted to end her life ever since her dad died, she barely knew me before that, but when I saved her from committing suicide, that's when she started to know me. I felt like an older sister for her, despite sounding like a bodyguard."
"Oh.." Taehyung sighed.
"Until now, I'm still her bodyguard! If anyone tries to hurt her.." I stopped the car immediately, and it made Taehyung jolt up. I stared at him with dead-serious eyes and growled, "They'll have to deal with me." I smiled after and started driving again. "Aiish, Madeleine! You give me goosebumps!" Taehyung whined as he grasped his chest. I laughed jokingly and stared back at the road.
I have plans for her.. I thought.
[KATE'S P.O.V]
Achoo! I sneezed. Gee, someone must be talking about me.. Bah, time to watch tv! I sat on the couch in my cute purple pajamas and grabbed my bag of popcorn.
