CHAPTER 39.5

I schemed a bit just to refresh my mind for me not to lose track of the story. Hell, hindi ko akalain na ganito pala ka kumplikado yung mga naunang chapters. Seriously, I'm lost on which part should I focus on, first. But rest assured, gagawan ko naman ng paraan yung ilang magulong parts at siguro hintay pa nang kaunti bago maayos yung flow ng story. Sorry kung medyo masalimuot ang mga susunod na chapters. Just give me five more chapters. Ayun lang. :)

Chapter 39.5

It's almost 8 in the evening nang maalimpungatan ako. Yeah, I remember now, dinala nga pala ako ni Lance sa bahay nila kanina.

Bigla akong napatayo sa realisasyong iyon. Leslie is here! Or was...

Si Lance. Hinanap ko siya sa buong kwarto niya pero wala ito dito. Maybe he's downstairs. Kausap niya kaya sina tita Lian?

Hindi ko alam kung dapat ba akong bumaba o hintayin na lang siyang bumalik. Medyo ramdam ko pa rin ang pagod at gutom dahil hindi na kami nakakain ni Lance kanina.

Hindi pa rin kami maayos. Everything is just entirely a mess. Kahit anong pilit ko na paki usap wala pa ding saysay. She needed to stop before it gets worse. I need to save not just Lance's family but also the others. But the question is, how?

*Riiiiiiing

(Kuya Rex Calling)

"Kuya?"

(Hime, may kailangan kang malaman.)

"Ano po yun, kuya?"

(Dennis is going back to Japan. Andito siya ngayon sa bahay. Apparently, his parents want him to go back to get married.)

"What?! Pero kuya sila na ni Eris, di ba? Then why would they want to marry him off to someone else?"

(All we know is that their company will vanish once na hindi siya naikasal roon.)

"Bah...." si Lance.

"Kuya, nandito ako kina Lance."

"I know. Tumawag na siya kanina. And hime, talk to him. Someone's doing something kaya nangyayari ang lahat ng ito ngayon. Our company, Lance's, Gail's baby, Kysler's bar and Ales' contract even Dennis' sudden marriage proposal. Sige na, ibababa ko na. Take care, okay?)

Binaba na nga ni kuya Rex ang tawag.

"Lance...."

"Gail's baby is safe now."

"Honto?!!!!"

"Yeah. But she didn't know kung sino ang nagbalik. She just heard the doorbell and when she opened the door, the baby was already there."

"Oh God!"

I'm so glad the baby's safe! Hindi ko na napigilan ang saya kaya napayakap ako ng mahigpit kay Lance.

"Hey, it's alright, Sharlot. Nothing bad happened to the baby. Please don't cry." Yes, I'm crying at inaalo ako ni Lance. I'm just so relieved na okay na yung baby. Gail and Seb must be so worried at bilang best friend niya, I wasn't there for her when she needed me the most.

I felt bad for it. Pakiramdam ko ang sama kong kaibigan dahil yung sariling problema ko lang ang naiisip ko.

"Shhhh, it'll be fine. We're already investigating the incident at Kysler's. Nakausap na din namin iyong management company nina Ales. They're willing to give Alesana a renewal for her contract, though hindi na maibabalik ulit yung mga offer na binawi ng ibang sponsors. But it's good enough that she can still go back and won't have to pay  single penny."
