The Lone Wolf (Phan AU)

God, I'm a wimp. I couldn't bring myself to talk to him. He's in all of my classes and sits next to me, but I couldn't bring myself to talk to him. "Dan!" giggled Kitty as she jumped on my back while I was standing by my locker. "Ooof. Hey, Kitty." I said. Glancing at Phil, who was down the hall. She whispered in my ear, "Have you found your mare yet?" I nodded saying, "Tell you on the way home." She giggled and just stayed on my back as I finished switching stuff out so we could go home. Nobody really stared as we walked out the door. They're all use to it by now. Kitty always finds time in the day to pounce on me.

We were a good distance from the school when Kitty hopped off my asked, "Who?" "The new kids in my grade. His name is Phil Lester." I said. Kitty asked, "Is he nice?""Not sure, I didn't actually talk to him even thoughhesitsnexttomeinallofmyclasses." I said mumbling near the end. Kitty heard it though. "DAN! How are you going to fully become Alpha if you don't even go talk to your mate?" "What if he's scared of me like everyone else is?" I asked beginning to recede into my insecure state of mind again. Which is the reason for me dying my hair, getting tattoos (which i definitely don't regret), and getting fake facial piercings. "Hey, you don't know that. I want you to talk to him and see if he's scared of you before making a decision." Kitty said. I commented, " yeah, but I'd be lying about my looks if I did that. I'm done with colorful hair and theses facial piercings." "Okay, fine then let's go to the store to get normal hair dye." she suggested. I said, "Kitty, or we could go for a run. Remember each time we shift, we get our normal selves back. So if we go for a run my hair will be brown.  I'll still have my earrings and tattoos, but I don't have to dye my hair again." "Oh. Yeah." she giggled as we arrived home. Our house is pretty much in the middle of a forest.
