I had just got back from the store because Dan isn't letting me help with his birthday/ initiation ceremony so I might as well set up his present. "Phil, do you need any help?" Katie asked as I walked into the house. "Just keep Dan away from his room, that'd be it." I said. Katie followed me to Dan's room and asked, "Are you sure that's all?" "Yes, Katie. I don't want him to find out. At least this year he is busy with paper work so he can't get his birthday present out of me." I said. Katie said, "Okay, how long do you need Dan out of his room?" "Until after the ceremony is completely over." I said. Katie nodded and walked out leaving me to decorate and set things up until the celebration starts.
