The pathetic town is too small for him.

He expected way more than this but his father insisted on him being here in this lame, boring town in the outskirts of New York instead of L.A. which he clearly voiced out. Besides, he’ll be here for the student exchange program for only a year so why bother and send him to a practically unknown town when they could clearly afford a more decent private American school in a bigger metropolis.

He had always hated public schools, especially the atmosphere which is inexplicably vulgar and low-standard for his taste. He's so used to being the boisterous boy in the family. Since he’s the only child, he could get whatever he wished for but this turns out more like a punishment rather than a simple joyride. The exact reason behind the sudden request wasn’t properly clarified by his lovely yet busy father. He couldn’t be bothered much really, because he knew his father like the back of his hand. If he complained or argued more than necessary, it would be truly pointless. His father is undeniably, the most headstrong and obstinate person – something which he himself inherited – he had ever known, well not after his model mother of course. No wonder they clicked so well together as proper soul mates as the thoughts of them being horny for each other sent shivers down his spine. Parents and their clichéd love stories, he shook the thoughts away as if it’s possible. He already came out with a few plans to make his stay more enjoyable and only he knew it best to tone down his naughty, wild and uncontrollable self for now. He needs to be under the radar at least for the first few weeks and he could carry on his own plans. For now he will only be known as the German exchange boy.

His arrival here in Gillsbury had been welcomed with a warm embrace by his sweet American host family which consists of a devout Christian parent with a lovely teenage daughter who would definitely melt anyone’s heart with her charming, vivacious personality. Thankfully they have a grand enough guest room for him, along with three housemaids for the huge mansion built far from the rest, near the town's reserved forest area. He didn’t really like the prospect of wild, untamed animals that might stray a bit too far from the forest limits. He pretended to be as civil and grateful as possible since it’s their house, thus he figured it would be best to zip his mouth shut. He could pull off the good acts with ease. He already set his targets on his plans, like a proper lone ranger that is adamant to get what he wants and he’s finally free from his own parents breathing down his neck.

“You don’t talk much do you? Well for me, that’s an admirable trait so you're cool. Though you don’t have to be shy around me Aiden, I’ll make sure your stay here in town will be an awesome one. In fact, I always wanted a little brother of my own. We're both blonds so that’s a good start right?” Her crispy and soothing voice made him alert once more. He blinked his long lashes at her gorgeous face a few times and then gazed back down towards the floor. His bashful demure is working much better than he expected. He took another glance at her flowing golden locks and gave her a modest smile, she’s absolutely right he thought. They could easily pass off as siblings – especially after he had worked hard on perfecting his American accent for more than two weeks before arriving here – so he might actually use that to his own advantage sometime soon.

“I have a wonderful black friend. She’s from the Netherlands and I bet her German is fluent enough for your standard. Trust me; she’s a really nice girl. I can’t wait to introduce you to her tomorrow!” She muttered excitedly next to him as they both sit by the bed side. The bedroom is somehow well prepared and decorated especially for a teenage boy like him. They must have been expecting him for a few weeks now. He felt a bit touched.

He’s just a bit tired and jet-lagged from the long-haul across the Atlantic flight and he could only nod along with a sweet smile. Her flouncy blonde hair framed her heart-shaped face nicely and rested on her shoulders, as they both sat in silence for a few minutes under the brightness of the energy-saving light bulb, as if contemplating individually. He's sorry for being a bit too awkward but he would like to maintain the act altogether.
