LAYS' POV
Something's not right. I can feel someone's always looking at me. And I know who it is, but the reasons to her doings are still unclear. She gave me a meal the first meeting then she pops out on my condo building then just disappears after my brother opens the door.
Yeah, my brother comes to visit me often. He keeps on coming without informing me. And that day he just asked me how was the first day teaching on this prestige school. We chatted and he went home after.
Anyway back to the issue at hand. I've been receiving pack up meals from someone, and it is really not that hard to guess whom they came from, she gave me the very first one herself. But now she just left it hanging on the doorknob of my office room, I usually wake up early and go to school without taking any meals so what she's doing is very appreciated but still the reasons on why she's doing this things is kind of a puzzle to me. I can't seem to put the pieces together.
Whenever I teach her group I can't concentrate coz I can feel her gaze on me. Never leaving instead watching, as if memorizing every part of me. And what bother me most is that I didn't feel bad when she looks at me. I just feel a little bit shy. And "shy me' is rare; 'bored me' is much often seen. We haven't spoken to each other ever since she left my condos' front door, but I keep on meeting her gaze whenever we walk on each other in the hall. And since I know the food and other stuff on my office door is from her I gladly accept them. The breakfast and coffees are great, I don't know how she knows but I love how they are made.
When I caught her looking at me when I'm teaching she will just smile at me, and I'll be too shy to continue looking at her, so I'll just proceed with the lesson, we've been at it for two weeks now. I think it's about time to have a little chat with her.
The bell rang signalling the end of our class, the students are gathering their things and I watch her do the same. I notice how slow she puts her things together as if she doesn't want to go yet. The others went out the room and she slowly walks down, "Ms. Wilson do you mind going to my office after your class?"I asked her before she turns to walk out the door. She looks at me again with her piercing green eyes. I don't know why but I feel conscious and my face begins to heat up. She really has this strange effect on me.
Her lips twitch, giving me a smile and then she nods. "I'll be there before lunch Ms. Lay, I'll bring food. See you later."
And she dash out of the room, I didn't have the time to say she doesn't have to bother to bring anything.
---
I'm looking outside the window, as the tree leaves sways and the clock is doing what it does best when you are waiting for something. Yes, it moves slowly, oh, right it doesn't I think it's just my patience that's fading. She said she'll be here before lunch but its five minutes past lunch. Should I be worried that she's in trouble and can't come?
"Tok, tok." Knocks disturbed my running thoughts. I stand up and walk to open the door. A se t of big round brown eyes is looking at me and its furry huge body is being carried by the person I'm waiting.
"Uhmm.. Sorry I'm late this big buddy is hard to carry. And Nai won't let me go without him. Could you open the door for me? This pack of lunch is heavy." She gives me a smile and puts up the basket she's carrying. I don't know how she manages to carry that thing and the basket at the same time. She surely gets everyone's attention on her way here.
"Want some help?" I asked after letting her in. She just stands frozen on the middle of my office room, carrying both the basket and the furry buddy. I think she's debating with her mind, looking around for somewhere to put the things she's holding.
