Just as soon as they get into the car, Tim leans over the console and pulls Adam into a kiss.
Adam's eyes widen in shock.
"Ummm." He hums into the kiss.
Tim smiles as he pulls away.
"What was that for?" Adam asks with a smile.
"I missed you." Tim says softly and hangs his head.
"Awww, Baby. I missed you too." Adam says as he pulls Tim into a hug. "I missed you a lot. So how was your first day."
"It was good." Tim nods and pulls a note out of his pocket. "I'm supposed to give you this." He hands the note to Adam.
"What is it?" Adam asks taking the note.
"I don't know. I can't ... read." Tim says.
"Did you learn that sass in class?" Adam laughs as he opens the note.
"No." Tim says seriously, shaking his head. "I don't think so."
"Oh, it's just a list of things you'll need for home. Like writing paper and stuff. He also says that since you're getting your glasses tomorrow that you can stay home because the strain on your eyes gave you a headache." Adam says as he looks at the note.
"Yes. It hurt here." Tim says as he points to his forehead.
"Is it still hurting?" Adam asks, brushing Tim's hair behind his ear.
"No, not bad." Tim says.
"Do you feel like going shopping?" Adam asks as he drove down the street.
"I don't know what ... shop..ing is." Tim answers as he watches the scenery out his window.
"It's when you go to the store and buy things." Adam smiles.
"Okay." Tim answers quietly. Adam wasn't for sure if he understood or not.
He pulls into the parking lot of the store.
As they get out of the car and start to walk toward the store, a gray cat runs across the parking lot in front of them.
"Adam, what is that?" Tim asks as he points.
"That's a cat, Sweetie." Adam answers with a smile.
"No." Tim says, shaking his head. "Cats are yel..low."
"Why do you say that?" Adam laughs.
"Rob showed me a cat and it was yel..low." Tim says.
Adam laughs and shakes his head.
"After we get through here I want to show you something. Alright?" Adam smiles.
"Okay." Tim answers as they walk into the store. He stops and looks around. Everything was unfamiliar to him. He whispers, "Wow."
Adam reaches and takes him by the hand and leads him over to the school supplies. He pulls out the list from his pocket.
"Let's see, you need a tablet." Adam says picking up a notebook.
"No." Tim says shaking his head. "Not that one. This is ... wrong." He says pointing to the lines of the paper.
"What kind do you need?" Adam asks as the lays the notebook back down.
"The kind I write my 'A's on." Tim says quietly.
"Oh. I think I know." Adam says as he begins to scan the shelves. He reaches for a different notebook. "Like this?"
