A/N: Sorry for the lack of updates, let's be honest, I haven't been in the writing mood lately. Usually when school starts I start writing more which is weird, but I will be updating more now. Thanks for your patience (:

It was finally the day of the parade. The fans around the city have just been insane. Everyone's family has been that way too. A few of their family and friends flew into Toronto for the parade, including Aaron's parents.

They both knew about the proposal but never saw me since the last time we were together. It was really just nice to see everyone's family.

We were starting the parade at Rogers Centre and ending it here. Being inside the dressing room, you can hear the fans that were outside. Just getting here from the apartment was difficult, imagine how downtown is right now.

Everyone got their jerseys on and headed out with their families to the cars. Me, Aaron and our parents planned to be on a car together since it made the most sense. Marcus was with Sabria, Jayden, his parents, Joe and Ryan.

Just before we all took off for the parade, I looked over at Marcus. "I think I'm finally going to do it."

He smiled. "When?"

"After this."

"Do what?" Aaron said.

I looked at him, "Get a tattoo. Two actually."

"I thought you weren't a fan of them."

"Yeah, on me. But Marcus and I have been talking about one of them for years and I just really feel I should just do it."

Marcus' grandmother passed away while we were both in university. She constantly drove to see Marcus play or come to convince me to play again. She was our biggest supporter. Every single game in high school, she's sitting in the stands, front row and cheering the loudest. When we heard the news, we were both heartbroken. She was like my grandmother too.

Not long after she died, Marcus got a massive tattoo in her honour. It was always something I thought of doing too but I never had the courage. I don't think Gloria would've cared if I did or not but it made me happy every time I saw Marcus' tattoo.

"I really want to do it." I said touching my forearm just as we were starting to depart for the parade.

"What are you going to get?"

"A bowling pin. With HDMH next to it."

"That'll be nice." Aaron said as he took my arm and looked at how it would be like.

Marcus has a bowling pin for her and I thought I should too, she loved bowling. HDMH for Marcus because he's my best friend and having it next to his grandmother makes it even more special to me.

As we are driving through the city, there were so many signs saying congratulations to Aaron and I. I've been pretty surprised by all the support from fans about our relationship. I didn't think they would, but they knew we'd keep it professional on the field which I guess made it work.

After a long and slow few hours of driving around downtown, we finally made it back to the dressing room. I met everyone's family I hadn't seen in the past.

Everyone took turns taking pictures with the Commissioner's trophy and we just all went our separate ways afterwards.

"Jay, you want to come with us?" I asked.

"Where?"

"I'm getting a tattoo."

"Yes!" He jumped and I laughed.
