"I'm Riley," the wolfblood said. Realizing that didn't ring a bell, "I'm Rhydian's little sister." She finished. At this Jana took another step away from Riley, speechless. She looked at Riley as if she were a ghost. "Who's Rhydian," Matei asked. "He's um.. an old friend. We were in school together and he was apart of the wild pack." Jana said hesitantly. "Oh," Matei replied. "I think we'd better go TJ," Selina said. "No it's getting interesting," TJ replied. With that Selina jabbed him, "we'll see you all later," TJ said. Emilia followed them out. "Why did you come here?" Jana asked. "Well I can't lie to you know," Riley said. "I was abandoned. I can't find my mum or dad. But I remembered Rhydian talking about you and the city, so I came here to find you." She finished. Jana looked at Riley with mixed emotions. "So you need a place to stay or?" Jana asked. "If you have somewhere that would be nice, otherwise I guess I'll get out of your fur." Riley replied. "Yeah, I've got a place for you." There was a spare closet in the loft. It was a fairly large closet that could be turned into a bedroom, so Jana figured why not. Matei grabbed Jana's hand bringing her back to reality. "I should go probably." No I want you to st..." Jana realized she was sounding desperate and she didn't want him to know about her feelings. "Stay and help us find a cot or something to put Riley on until we get her a bed." Janna thought she saved herself pretty well. Matei grinned, because he was just asked to spend more time with Jana.
Upstairs
"Katrina?" Jana checked to see if Katrina was there. "Yeah?" Katrina replied. "Um.. remember Rhydian?" Jana asked. "O-M-G is he here?" Katrina asked very excited. "No" Jana replied, "but his little sister is." "I didn't know he had a sister. O-M-G she looks just like him." Katrina said. "How is Rhydian doing?" Katrina asked "Katrina I told Riley she could stay with us let's make sure the closet is cleared out so that we can make a bedroom for her." Jana interrupted. Katrina and Jana went and looked for the extra cot while Matei and Riley cleared out the hall closet. "Do you know what the deal is with Jana and your brother, because I feel like she's hiding something from me." Matei asked. "I don't know. I didn't get to spend much time with my brother, why, are you two together?" Riley asked. "Uh no. I was just wandering," Matei tried to play it off, but Riley knew better. "You like her," Riley said. "You don't even know us, how can you make a statement like that," Matei whispered defensively. "It's obvious, the way you look at her, how you touch her hand. I'm very observant. I notice those things. I understand though, she being your alpha and all." Riley told him. "Well what do I do.?" Matei asked. "Well, I don't know you guys well enough now do I. I've only been here for like an hour, but I think you really care about her, right?" She asked. He nodded. "Well give it a shot." She finished. "What?" He responded. "You heard me. Ask her out, I think you two are meant to be together." She told him in a sassy tone. "You're an alpha type to, aren't you." He stated. "How'd You guess? Now don't change the subject. You have feelings for Jana, don't ignore them. It will only lead to pain." He thought about what she was telling him. "I'll think about it," he decided it would have to suffice Jana and Katrina were coming back. He thought he should take Riley's advice, but he needed to know if Jana felt the same way. "Oh Matei would you help us get the cot into the room?" Jana asked. "Oh course!" He said. He helped pick up the cot, but in the process he grabbed Jana's hand. He made it look accidentally when he meant to do it. "Whoops, my bad" she said. "No no that was on me" he replied. They gazed into each other's eyes. Maybe Riley had been right. Maybe she did like him. He liked her. If they had been alone he would have kissed her right there on the spot. He like Jana, and there was nothing hazy about it.
