~Raina's POV, Later That Morning~
I sat down at my kitchen table with a fresh cup of coffee. While drinking my coffee I thought back to my dream and how it had plagued me everyday my first year at Natural Fire Juvenile Detention Center. It was horrible, having to relive it every day. Only one person would come near me while I was at NFJDC once every one heard my "story", and that person was there for a similar reason.
That person is named Mick Rory. Mick was at NFJDC because of a house fire he started that killed his family. Most of the kids there didn't kill their parents or anyone.
~Flashback~
It was my second week here and all of the other kids avoided me. With my constant flashbacks and nightmares of the camping trip and everyone thinking I did what happened.
I screamed and dropped my tray full of breakfast on the ground. While I'm withering on the ground someone squatted next to me and pulled me into a hug. The hug surprised me and I looked up at the person comforting me.
"H-hi, I'm Raina." I said
"I'm Mick" said the boy that comforted me.
"Thanks for doing that. Why?
"Why what?" asked Mick.
"Why did you help me?" I responded.
"Anyone else would have left you but I'm not like that. We're similar, I killed my parents, you made yours disappear" said Mick.
"I didn't do it"
"I know you didn't but, everyone else thinks you did. Stick with me and I'll keep them away from you." said Mick with a smile.
I smiled back, "Thanks, I will Mick"
~End Flashback~
I sat my cup down and picked up my phone. I started to dial to last number that Mick gave me. As the phone was ringing I said to myself, "Come on Mickey, come on. Please, please pick up".
"You've reached Mick Rory, how the hell did you get this number?"
"Mickey is that really you?" I asked.
"Raina? I haven't heard from you in so long. What's up?" replied Mick.
I sighed, "The uh, the nightmares and flashbacks have returned. I would really like it if you could stop by my bakery."
"Sure." replied Mick. "Where's it at?"
"It's three blocks west of Jitter's. It's named Toasted Icing. My house is right above it in the same building." I replied.
"Ray, I'll be there as soon as possible. Is it ok if some one tags along with me?" asked Mick.
"Yeah, yeah do whatever. I just need you here to help and talk." I said. "Thanks and bye".
"Bye Ray. See you soon." said Mick and then he hung up.
