Edward felt  next to him on the unfamiliar bed, a bed that was not his. It was cool. He sighed sitting up, eyes fixed on the person sitting in the chair that was facing the window. "Why aren't you sleeping?" Edward questioned softly, rubbing the sleep out of his eyes, still not fully awake. "The weddings today." The dark haired man spoke, barely above a whisper. Other than the clock ticking in the background, it was dead silent. The golden haired boy stood, making his way towards the man. "Roy, you know, this wasn't my decision. You keep me a secret like you're ashamed of me, but yet, this hurts you." his gold eyes now fixed on the dark blue eyes, they reminded Edward of when a storm is rolling in, and the sky gets dark, right before the thunder starts. Roy pulled the younger man into his lap, sliding his arms around him, resting his head on Edwards neck. He slowly started planting soft, wet kisses upon his neck. Edwards breathing hitched as a shiver went down his spine. "You promised you'd never leave me" Roy mumbled against Edward's skin, giving him goosebumps. "You promised you wouldn't keep me a secret forever, I'm not a child anymore, and you're running out of excuses" Edward replied while letting out a soft moan. Roy stopped what he was doing and whipped Edwards body around so he was straddling Roy. He looked the young boy in his golden eyes. "You have never been a secret." Roy expressed without hesitation.

"I..I can't do this anymore Roy, I'm getting married to Winry. You're already married" Edward voiced as he eyed Roy's wedding ring. "Separated" Roy corrected. "Working things out, going to counseling, half of Riza's things are moved back in. Do you take me for an idiot? Don't answer that. I can see what's going on here." Edward answered, pushing himself off of Roy. He grabbed his shirt, pulling it over himself. "Edward, please" Roy pleaded, he stood up positioning himself in front of the door, blocking Edward's only exit. Edward sighed, he smiled sadly at Roy. He wrapped his arms around the older man, breathing in his scent. Roy smelled of aftershave, cologne, and whiskey.  "I love you. I really do, I just can't play this game anymore. It's not fun anymore." Edward sighed once more before flipping Roy on his back. "Fullmetal, don't you dare walk out that door" Roy called out before pulling himself up so that he was sitting on the ground.

Edward frowned before opening the door, he was about to leave before he turned around and uttered "I hope to see you at my wedding, it wouldn't be the same without you." and with that, he left Roy sitting on the ground in his bedroom alone. Roy slammed his fist on the ground before letting out a low growl. He shoved his back towards the floor before laying down, defeated. He fingered the gold band that he wore. It reminded him a lot of a collar, like a dog would wear to let people know someone owns him. "Edward" He breathed out, his name rolled off his tongue like it was a second nature, like it was the only word he's ever known. The only response that rang though his ears in the apartment, was the clock, mocking him with the ticking noise it made.

"Roy, are you ready to go?" The blonde woman asked. "Riza, do.. do I look okay?" Roy questioned, adjusting his hair in the mirror. "You look great, now let's go or we'll be late for the wedding." Roy sighed as he made his way towards his date. She grabbed his hand with a smile and they headed out the door. The whole way to the car, Roy could only think of the early morning. The way Edward looked, the way he smelled, the broken look in his eyes as he left his lover alone. Roy daydreamed while staring at the window, he hadn't noticed that they had arrived. "Roy, we're here, are you coming in?" Riza questioned him. She frowned softly noticing he wasn't paying attention. She slammed the car door, walking into the building to greet Alphonse who stood at the door.

Roy sighed, slamming his head into his hands. Roy turned his attention to the knock at the window. Rolling the window down, he made eye contact with the cloud of smoke that blocked his sight. "Havoc." Roy breathed out, blowing the smoke away. "Colonel, you come alone?" Havoc smiled at his superior. "Riza is inside, I just needed a moment." Roy pushed the car door open, standing to greet his friend who reeked of the smoke that clouded the air around them. "Shall we go in? I'm sure the half-pint wouldn't be very happy if we missed his big day!" Havoc joked. Roy let out a forced laugh, before following his subordinate inside the chapel. The ceremony had started already when Roy slid into a bench in the back next to his wife, Riza, and friend Havoc.

"I, Edward Elric, take you Winry Rockbell, to be my wife. I promise to be true to you in good times and in bad, in sickness and in health. I will love you and honor you all the days of my life." Roy smiled sadly at the couple, who were saying their vows. Traditional vows, because Edward had told Roy that he didn't want to write his own vows for Winry because he didn't know what to say about someone who he was only marrying out of obligation. Edward told Roy that he had wanted to marry him, but Roy just laughed, as if it was a joke. Now, Roy could feel his heart being ripped out of his chest as the newly wedded couple kissed to make the wedding official.
