Roy's finger tips dragged slowly down the back of the sleeping figure next to him. To his surprise, the smaller man started to move softly.

Edwards eyes fluttered opening, he adjusted his body to face the man's behind him. His golden eyes meeting dark onyx eyes. Edward could see the love and lust in Roy's eyes. It made him shiver under the others touch.
Edward still had Winrys words floating around his brain, disappearing every so often, only to remember at inconvenient times. Like when Roy opened the front door and kissed him hello. When his voice called out Roy's name in ecstacy, and now, when he stared into his lover's eyes.

"What should we spend the day doing?" Roy whispered to the blonde.

"I have to tell you something." Edward responded quietly. He turned his gaze downward, keeping eye contact with his hand on Roy's bare chest.

Roy could feel the smile fading from his lips. He knew Edward could feel his heart beat increasing. Edward wasn't one to he serious, not first thing in the morning at least. Edward was usually angry about being woken up.

"Its about...my wife...she's..we're having a baby." Edward stuttered though his sentence. He could barely admit it to himself, let alone his older lover. His words earned a frown from his older lover.

"Ah..I see.." was all that Roy could force himself to say. His hand reached forward to move a golden streak of hair out of Edward's face, but hesitated before touching him. Edward was now, forever out of his touch. Roy felt as if someone was choking him. His hand moved back to his side, the realization that Edward came here last night, as a goodbye.

Edwards free hand, gripped the sheets in between him and Roy. His breathing hitched, "Is that all you have to say bastard?" Edward lashed out at him. It wasn't Roy's fault, but all the same it was.

"You'll be a great father" Roy mumbled, pulling away from Edwards touch. He removed the sheet from the lower half of his body, letting his feet greet the cold hard floor of his bedroom.

Edward stared at his back, as he sat on the bed, leaning over for his clothes. "Me? A great fucking father? I dont know how to do that, Hohenheim was my rolemodel." Edward slammed his fist against the bed. He wasnt sure why he was getting angry at this moment. He wasn't sure why he ruined his last morning with Roy. He liked to believe he was just being honest, but deep down. He wants Roy to hate him, to never want his love again.

For Roy, that was impossible. "I love you Edward, I like to believe i know you better than anyone, in more than one way. You'll be a great father." Roy repeated. "Did you come here for a pity party? Perhaps a good bye? I think maybe, just maybe, you were hoping I'd beg you to stay, to abandon your wife and unborn child. Well, I wish to do all of that, but that's not who we are." Roy stated, forcing his body to move away from the bed, and away from the blond.

Edward sighed as his head slammed against the pillow. He waited until the bathroom door clicked, and the sound of running water rang through his ears. He took his chance, to move quickly and quietly to find his belongings and redress his freshly abused body, showing that last night was real. Edward walked over to the small desk that was filled with paperwork that Roy was to sign still. He grabbed a piece of paper and a pen, leaving a note for Roy, before heading out the door, into the cool morning air.

The breeze was like nothing else that Edward had ever experienced. It was harsh and brutal against his skin. Yet it was as welcoming as Roy's arms always felt.

Roy pushed the bathroom door opening, his eyes darted around, searching for Edward. He sighed as he made his way down the hall towards the kitchen to find something to eat. When he entered the kitchen, he made his way towards the coffee pot. There was a note sitting in front of the freshly made pot of bitter dark substance. Roy opened the note, and smiled slightly at the writing on the paper. It was barely readable, due to Edward's terrible penmanship.

"Equivalent exchange. I give you half my life, in exchange you give me half of yours."

Roy chuckled softly at the words of his dumb lover. No matter how serious Edward got, how much Edward wanted to do the right thing. This was a declaration of war and of love. It was Edward's promise to Roy, that he would always make his way to back to him. No matter how long it took or how rough it was, Edward always knew how to make an entrance and he also knew how to make an exit.

/A/N-So basically this kind of sucked, but I have been writing it on my phone on my way between school, swimming, studying, and watching things fall apart and come together, so i apologize for the short, possibly a little confusing  but it'll all make sense soon promise!/
