I sipped on my coffee as I stared out the window of the café I was sitting in. In the background, I could hear my friend Jenny chatting about the boy that she had seen last night. I wasn't into listening, but I nodded my head along with everything she said acting like I was following along with her story. It was November, but the weather was nice for our state, it was around 55 degree and people seemed to be enjoying it by the amount that are taking walks this morning.

"Opal?"

I snap my head forward to face Jenny, who is staring at me with a frown on her face.

"Sorry," I apologize, "I guess I'm a bit distracted today..."

"what's been bothering you?" She asks, her voice laced with concern. Jenny was always concerned for others. Her big green eyes made you trust her most, but everything about her screamed friendly. She had black hair cut to a bob and beautiful, soft, olive skin.

"Oh nothing, I just didn't get much sleep," I lied.

"Would you like to come back to my place and rest? We don't have to go to New York tonight" she says, but I can detect the disappointment she's trying to hide.

I sigh, "No, it's okay. I'll just take a nap later. We should probably get home and pack."

Jenny and I were planning to travel from New Jersey to New York tonight to visit her friend Cassidy. We were going to stay with her for a week and she was going to help us search for an apartment to share in Brooklyn.

"Alright! Let's get you home to rest" she gleams and I almost want to grimace. I love Jenny, but she's way over excited about going to New York, in fact, I'm dreading it. I do want to live there, I really do, I just don't like the idea of going from our small town in New Jersey to an over-populated city like NYC. Sure, I've been to New York plenty of times, but it's hard to imagine being there for a long period. If you've been their you'll understand. It's full of weirdos and wacko's of all kinds. Jenny just see's the place a one big "opportunity...." yay for me.

The reason I agreed to move there was because New York has some of the best street art around. I hope to learn some things and maybe find myself a hit group. Hit groups go around doing illegal street art, some are very well known, they have a massive following and people even pay them to tag their buildings.
