After hearing what the twins told me, I can't keep this from my bro. The shit eating me up. I was sitting in the office thinking. My assistant came in.
"Hey Mrs.Green, your sister is here to see you" she said
"Thank you, bring her back" I said
Char walked in. I hugged her.
"Wassup sis" I said
"Nun seem like something was bothering you." She said sitting down
"It is. I found something that out yesterday about Trina." I said sitting back in my chair
"Oh you mean about her cheating on Toni" she said
"Yea, wait you knew." I asked
"Yes I did, they tell me everything" she said
"You keeping the secret," I asked
"Yea, cause I don't wanna ruin they relationship" she said
"You right, I hate keeping shit from my bro" I said
"I know, but I need to tell you something" she said
"What" I asked
"I talked to dad about ma. I told him everything" she said "about mom and Lexie. Everything."
My dad knew about Lexie but he thought she was as a adopted child from Trina job that needed somewhere to stay.
"Why would you do that. I wasn't ready to tell him yet" I said
"Well I did and he wants to talk to you" she said
"Fine, I'll talk to him when I get off" I said upset
"Well that's gone be a problem" she said
"Why" I said looking up
"He here" she said opening the door.
My dad walked in. I couldn't even look at him. He sat down next to char.
"So why didn't you tell me about Lexie"'he asked
" I don't know. I didn't think you would understand " I said
"What you mean. I would have understood. She my grandchild. I would have and still treat her like I do all the other girls" he said
"Its not that, its how she got here and where she been" I said
"Yea, I thought you didn't talk to your mom, nor cared for her." he asked
"Never cared for her? She's my mother. She didn't leave cause of the drugs. She left cause you were in love with her best friend.
Char looked shocked. I guess he didn't tell her, or even knew I knew.
" who told you that?" He asked
"Mom" I said
"Well did she also tell you about your brother?" He asked
"Brother?" I said
"Oh so she did didn't tell you everything he said sitting back.
" wait , what brother, what best friend? What are y'all talking about" char asked angry.
"The twin's mom and dad had an affair." I said
"What! And you knew. " she yelled
"Yes, I found out the same day ma brought Lexie home
"Oh wow, did you tell kae" I asked
"No, I didn't. I couldn't bring myself to do it." I said
"Wait, hold up I'm confused. If you and Jane were having an affair, why did you kill her" char ask dad
"Umm, Jane's not dead" my dad said
"I'm sorry, say that again" Char said
"You heard me" he said
"What do you mean she's not dead" char said squinting her eyes
"Meaning she's very much alive, n I know where she is" dad said
"Why did you tell the twins you killed her? She asked
" cause jane don't want them to know she's alive." He said
"You knew this entire time, and didn't tell me or the twins" she said
"I couldn't. Not til I got all the facts right. This is going to kill the twins. Knowing we lied to them. Again" I said
"We? Not one time did I lie to them. This is y'all doing. I'm out. I'm tired if all the secrets, all the lies, everything. I'm not doing this to them again." Char said
"I know but--"
"No buts Alexis. You claim you love kae, right"
"Yes with everything in me." I said
"Well stop the lies, she deserves that. She been down with us since we met them in high school. That girl been through hell and back before and when she met us. Not to mention Trina. Im tired of this" char said
"So what we suppose to do" dad said
"How about tell them the truth, before it comes and bites all of us in the ass" she said getting up.
I sat in my seat, thinking.
"Think about it lexis. You lost her once. Do you really wanna lose her again ? " char said walking out the door.
She was right. I have my entire family to worry about. I can't keep these secrets no more. I got to tell her the truth.
"So we telling them?" Dad asked
"We got too" I said
"Well let me tell Jane that her kids about to find out about her" dad said
"Okay, bring her over too, its time she reunited with her twins."
"You sure" dad said
"Yeap, hopefully it goes how its suppose too" I said
