"I got invited to a party for tonight," Alec announces as I'm finishing my cereal bowl.

"By who?"

"This girl named Sam." He said. "I told her I'm bringing friends."

"What'd she say?" I asked, sticking my hand out as I shifted in my chair so Alec could help me up. Ever since my tailbone was bruised a week ago, its been painful sitting for a long time, and even worse standing up. Alec wrapped his hand around my wrist and my hand over his. He pulled me up, and I groaned.

"Sorry," he mumbled, wrapping me in his arms. "Oh, she said its okay."

"Fan-freaking-tastic" I sigh into his chest.

Alec chuckles, and I feel him talking. "I thought you liked parties?"

"I do, but I don't like girls all over you," I answer.

"Why is that? Don't you like me making friends?" He questions, pulling back a tiny bit so he can look at me. He's smirking with his cute little dimple that always gives me butterflies.

"Yeah, but.." I try to defend, but Alec stops me.

"Or are you jealous?" Alec raised an eyebrow, chuckling just a bit.

"Am not," I scowled at him, crossing my arms. Alec's hands were still on my lower back, and I was very much aware of them. I hoped I wasn't turning bright red, because I feel as if I am.

"Don't be jealous," Alec insisted, tilting his head towards me.

"Why is that?" I narrowed my eyes at him. He didn't answer. He just pulled away from the hug, and then got his shoes on. He then helped me with mine.

"You've got pretty big feet for such a small girl," he teased. I kicked his arm gently.

"Stop teasing me," I pouted. Alec smiles and stands up, tracing his thumb over my now protruding bottom lip. I blush, and look down. He gets up and looks around, from the kitchen to the living room to up the stairs. I tilt my head at him.

"Ready to go?" He asks, walking towards me.

"Why did you do that?" I ask him, opening up the door.

"I need to give you a reason not to be jealous," Alec said, closing it and pulling me closer to him. He leaned his face close to mine, so close our noses were touching. I could feel his breath on my lips as he spoke. "I'd never hold a girl the way I hold you."

My heart was racing at about a million miles a minute. The feel of his warm breath was still present on my now flushed cheeks. I stood there, engulfed in his warm arms. These are the arms I don't ever want to leave. This moment, with his nose touching mine, was probably my most favorite moment in the entire world.

He pulled away. I just wanted him to come back and...

Kiss me?

Did he want to kiss me?

He opened the door and went outside. I followed him.

....

The day had dragged on painfully long. I swear, if I had just one day left on Earth, I'd spend it at school. It felt like a century passed by during every class.

I was standing at my closet, ferociously digging through it in search for something nice to wear.

"Nothing too fancy," I sighed, "nothing too casual."

Giving up, I looked out of my window to see Alec waiting patiently.

COME OVER I scrawled on a paper. He nodded, and I could see him heading over in the snow. He came into my room after a short chat I could hear between he and my parents.
