Chapter 12- Leave Me Alone

Mel POV

"Jeez can you leave us alone!Damn" I screamed at Ryan he was running after us and asking all kinds of questions about Mr. Hood and I.

"So you admit that you fucked your boss in order to get your job?" he asked .

"Listen my daughter is here don't use those words! And no I didn't admit that because I have been working in this job for five years and Melissa is only 3 and a half" I screamed whispered because she was sleeping on my shoulder.

"Okay, so you had an affair?" he asked suggestively.

"No I didn't. We had sex once and I didn't even enjoy it!" I mumbled.

We were currently walking back to hotel.

"Ms. Stubbs are you saying he raped you" he asked sternly.

"Mr. Carter what ever happened between Mr. Hood and I is none of your business. Plus you did say I was a whore" I attacked back at him.

He was constantly assuming.

I hated that.

"You wouldn't say anything to either him or his wife right?" I asked nervously.

Ryan's eyes traveled over my head.

"I don't need to say anything to her because look she is coming over right now!" Ryan said amused.

Oh fuck.

Believe it or not the devil was really on her way over here.

I begun to shake.

Melissa was sleeping but her face was pointing forward so Leah would see.

"Give me your jacket!" I screeched at Ryan.

"What? No way!" he said disagreeing.

"Please. I need the money for my daughter. I would explain to you I promise. Take it off" I begged as Leah was five steps away.

Ryan watched me in amusement but he took his jacket quickly and placed it over Melissa's head just as Leah reached us.

"Hey guys!" Leah greeted.

"Hi Leah" I said just as Ryan said "Mrs.Hood" .

"Have you guys seen my hubby?" she asked happily.

"Umm no" we both said in unison.

Leah just continued to smile brightly.

"I think I have great news but I'm not really sure as yet. I think I'm pregnant" Leah said in a half whisper.

When I heard that I almost dropped Melissa so much that Ryan took her from me while managing to keep the Jacket over her head.

Leah's eyes moved as Melissa's body did.

"What's that?" she asked curiously.

"Oh just my niece!" Ryan said naturally.

"Aww can I see her?" Leah asked excitedly.

"Umm no!" I shouted afraid making the both of them jump at my sudden out burst.

"I mean no. She is sleeping. So your pregnant?" I asked changing the subject.

"Yes. Two months" she bounced up and down happily.

Oh.

How happy will Mr.Hood be.

"Well we have to go now. So bye" I said before grabbing Ryan's arm and pulling him along to the hotel.

His fiancee was at the front desk dealing with a client so we quickly past by the lobby and went straight to the elevator.

We were on our way to our rooms when a small voice made us laugh.

"Twinky goes Boo!" Melissa screamed and begun to clap excitedly under the jacket.

Ryan looked at me amused.

"Mommy here is dark" Melissa giggled.

I smiled.

She was too cute.

I took off the jacket and she popped her little head out and smiled.

"This is uncle Ryan" I introduced.

"Uncle Ryan. Oh my your holding me!" she screamed and began to clap.

We all laughed.

I opened the door to my room and let them in.

"Mommy is uncle Ryan gonna be my new daddy?" she whispered loudly thinking Ryan couldn't hear her.

Both of us stiffened.

"No baby. Remember I told you that you don't have a daddy" I said quietly.

"Momma but all the other kids have daddys. How come I don't have one?" she asked.

My heart begun to thump.

I didn't want to talk about this in front of Ryan.

"Sweetie your mommy hasn't found the right person to be your daddy yet and well that's what all the kids parents do in school. You want mommy to be happy right? Well she has to find the right person first" Ryan said suddenly making Melissa smile.

I smiled.

He saved me.

"Okay. Time for Melissa to go watch tv" I said clapping my hands together and taking her from Ryan and placing her on the floor to go run off and play.

"Thank you" I said quietly.

"How did it happen?" he asked.

I sat down right there on the floor and told him everything.

"What? He threatened you?" Ryan screamed.

"Yes but Ryan you can't say anything. You can't!" I mumbled afraid.

"I wouldn't" he assured.

Just then he leaned over and kissed me softly.

I blushed.

sigh.

"Can I take you guys to see my mother?" he asked suddenly.

"To see your mother?" I asked nervously.

"Yes she lives right here in the city" he stated.

"Umm, okay" I whispered.

"Alright well in the next hour then meet me at the front of the hotel" he suggested.

I just nodded.
