Chapter one: portals

(Rose's POV )

My small fingers curled around the  pokèmon  game I've been wanting for so long ,I was in the video game section in my favorite store and I had my eye set on this game ever since it came out. I turned around and headed to the counter,when something caught my eye, a game I've ever seen before .

 I ran over to inspect it,it was a Kirby game for the wii entitled "Kirby and the paintbrush of passion." I looked at it closely and noticed that the cover looked strange,instead of Kirby holding a paintbrush or something else that went with the title, it was simply a warpstar flying in a galaxy. Since I have never seen this game I figured it was new. I set the pokèmon game down and picked up the Kirby game. I walked to the counter and payed for it. I ran out of the store and into my mother's car.

"What did you buy sweetie?" My mother asked me as soon as I reached the car. "Oh," I said, forgetting that she doesn't know I bought the video game with my birthday money. I hid the bag I had in my hand behind me,and reached into my pocket trying to find something to not blow my cover,I finally found a stick of chap stick and pulled it out "just some lip balm" I said nervously "if it's "just some lip balm" than why are your pockets empty? wasn't it full of money ?" " and, pffftt since when did you use lip balm?" Said my little sister Brianna,while making  hand signals with her fingers. "Unless..." She added, leaning a little to see what's behind me."Shut up." I said quickly, pushing the bag further behind me. My mom jerked the car to a stop, causing a few cars to blast their car horns. "Rose," she said sternly "language!". I rolled my eyes and looked at Brianna who looked at me and mouthed "sorry.", I shot her an angry glare, Brianna sighed and returned her gaze back out the window.

As soon as we reached our house, I opened the car door and stormed my way inside. I climbed the stairs and opened the door to my room and walked inside slamming the door behind me. Not bothering to take off my book bag, I got the Kirby game and opened the game case. I got a wii controller and jammed the game disk inside the wii console. I looked at the screen and clicked on the game icon,I pressed "play" and cheery music flooded the room. I sat on the bed to watch the opening cutscene. But  instead words appeared on the screen.

"Hello hero!," it read.

"H-hero?!?!" I stammered.

" You have matched the description of one of the heroes of dreams  perfectly! Now activating the portal!" 

"PORTAL ???!!" I screamed.

A  bright light filled the room,and a small portal appeared in front of me. 

 I dropped my book bag in shock,but clutched the wii remote. I stumbled a few steps back and tripped on my book bag ,sending it flying through the air and straight into the portal,it flew right inside like if it was an open window. I looked at it in horror, not realizing that I was slowly falling into the portal. I tried to catch myself but ended up slipping on the carpet. I screamed as I fell face first into the portal and fell  through space and time... And fell  into one of my worst adventures yet...
