A sigh escaped my lips as I dramatically leaned back into my seat.
"Its not even 5 o'clock yet, and there's traffic stopped for blocks. How irritating."
"Relax will ya, just put on some tunes and roll down the windows, it's freakin' hot in this tin can yo-"
"Harry! Do you want Rhonda do get upset? She's very sensitive! And she's not a tin can, she's my baby."
"Hhhookay, whatever you say. Seriously though can you please crack a window I'm dying."
"You do realize this car doesn't have the features of your daddy's Rolls-Royce Royce don't you? You've got to put your window down manually Harry. "
It was funny watching him trying to move the window crank. His hand kept slipping, hitting the side of the car, making him scrunch his face up in irritation. I couldn't help but laugh a little - but in that moment, I realized that he's never had work for anything. He was born into a wealthy family, that's handed him everything along the way - no self discoveries, no interests, no mistakes - a carbon copy of his father. Intentional, I think not. I hope not.
I've been an intern at at Oscorp since freshmen year of high school, and if there's one thing I've picked up along the way, is that Mr. Osborn likes things his way, no alternative. He's always been kind to me in the few years I've been there though, so I hope that he'll listen to what I have to say.
Cars start to push forward, and we reach the Oscorp parking lot. Getting out of the car I realized I had absolutely no idea on what I was going to say. At school it seemed so right to offer my help to Harry, but now - I'd rather be at home hiding in my sheets.
"So what exactly were you planning on telling my father?" Harry asked with a curious face.
Ohmygod. What was I going to tell him? That we're going to just charge the castle and stick it to his dad? Because that's what I was thinking back at school. Looking at Ocsorp now it doesn't seem like a very good plan.
Come on, think of at least something.
"Oh I figured we'd just ask him if I could tutor you. You know since you're new and all, I think it'd be handy if I caught you up and teach you a few things."
Decent save there Jade.
"I also thought you might like to be out of the house for awhile."
Pushing a strand curly hair out of his face, he looked up and smiled at me, "I think you're right, Jade."
