Hearing the bell ring, I quickly shuffled to my next class, English. I had always loved English because sometimes the teacher gives us writing assignments, and that's when I can freely write without any judgment. Unfortunately, today we weren't going to be writing. I slouched down in the cold seat as far as I possibly could. Then the teacher entered, but she was with someone. Someone I had never seen before. Maybe a new kid. Great, another one to add to my fine array of people who taunt me. But maybe this time will be different, maybe I'll actually make a friend. I pushed those thoughts aside,  just to feel a gentile tap on my arm, followed by an introduction. "Hello, I'm Harry." I looked over my shoulder, and rested my eyes on the boy who was talking to me. He stuck his hand out in a gentlemanly manner, and offered a full smile. "Jade. Nice to meet you." I accepted his hand, and shook it. For the rest of the class, I couldn't help but think about how attractive Harry was, and how he of all people decided to talk to me.

I guess I must have spaced out the entire class because before I knew it, the bell rang for second period. The whole day was a blur up to lunch, and then something very strange happened. Harry sat next to me. It was the weirdest thing. He just parked himself right aside of me in the most nonchalant manner, like he's been doing it for years. I of course, was not used to this. Nobody sits next to me, in fact I take comfort knowing I have the whole table to myself. Taking a bite of his apple, Harry turned to me and smiled again. Oh that smile. It was so full, and enchanting, and it suited his face very well I might add. Then it occurred to me. Harry shouldn't be sitting with me, he should be trying to find new friends. Most likely the popular squad, because he certainly had the looks to join. Chiseled face, dark brown eyes, chocolate brown hair, breathtaking smile, and soft plush lips. Just then I mentally slapped myself and decided to pluck up the courage and talk to him. "You really shouldn't be sitting here. I mean there are plenty of other people to sit next to, and I'm not exactly the girl you want to hang out with." His face turned blank, then just like that - he left. Without a word, or an expression. A small part of me wished that he had stayed, but another was happy he left, because if he was associated with me, things would have gotten bad for him, and I didn't want that.
