The Fear of The Unknown

The captive turned to see the man responsible for decimating Baron and what they see sends fear through their bodies. A massive creature with non human proportions. He stood towering over the inmates with such a sinister grin that could send chills down your spine with a single glance. He slowly panned the room until catching site of Koda "you there child what is your name". Koda frozen in fear could barely mumble out his own name. "Ah i see you are the one that the pesky child in the corrosive mines continues to speak about." "My brother!?! is he okay?!?" asked Koda in a panic over his brothers safety.      " yes yes hes fine the fumes have only caused minor mutations to his body." "Please let my brother go he didn't ask for any of this!" cried out Koda. " No one asked to be here child we simply take the lowlifes of the world and make them of some use." "Hey! who are you calling a low life you over sized mole rat!!" shouted a nearby captive. The unknown creature looked over at the outraged civilian and in one clean almost untraceable motion threw a knife that lodged itself into the captives throat, he died instantly. With a smile he spoke" any more brave souls?" complete silence. " good ill let everyone get back to work and kid, don't worry about your brother hes fine" with a laugh he sauntered away. " Koda collapsed in fear and anger "no! no! no!!" he shouted " my brother I will save you I promise." Duke walked over to comfort Koda " listen Koda your brother is fine we will save him but for now we have to focus on the plan or we wont make it out of here at all. Koda nodded and began back to work.

Koda began working on his body for the upcoming rebellion. He began to look more lean and quick with enough muscle mass to hold his own. Three years past and time was running out. "I am tired of waiting" yelled Koda " my brother could be dead now we are all ready whats the wait!?" "Koda keep your voice down!" said Duke " listen things didn't go like planned so we had to regroup but I believe we will be able to go before the months up but you cannot rush this plan its life or death. "I know I am sorry Duke but this is my brother at stake he may be older than me but my mothers last words to me were for us to look out for each other and ill be damned if I fail to see it through." Koda shook all over " I am going to get out of this place and save my brother then take my revenge on the individuals who took my mother from me." Duke put his arm around Koda " easy champ lets focus on getting out of this shit hole first." he laughed and pushed Koda before getting back to work.

The day was here. The day of rebellion. The day Koda has been waiting all these years for. The plan is to move at the third guard change towards the northern tunnels and take out the guards watching over the rail cart transfer. After that they are to take the rail cart load it with captives and push it towards the exit where the guards should assume they are on waste duty. "Koda you ready?" asked Duke " this is the day you have been looking for now help us take back are freedom." Koda stood up and with a smile smacked Duke on the back " lets take back whats ours."

"GO!!!" yelled Duke as they quickly overwhelmed the guards and put an end to both their lives. " good work everyone now climb into the cart and execute the final part of the plan." Captives piled into the carts and began to push towards the exit when the unthinkable happened, "Guards they are attempting an escape!!" yelled one of Barons former lackeys with a huge satisfied grin on his face "They murdered two guards end them!" soon guards swarmed the area unleashing hell on the captives.            " Koda catch!" yelled Duke when chunking a sword towards Koda. Koda caught the sword and began repelling attacks from guards. "What do we do Duke we are surrounded!" Duke sighed and spoke loudly " Koda stand back! I didn't want it to come to this but I have no choice." Dukes hands began to glow a slight orange color as he seemed to be in deep concentration. "Duke what the hell are you doing?!? "Wake u..... and then it all came to light. Duke drew signs in the air that lingered by whatever was flowing through him.                       Void spear-   He announced as what looked like a spear seemed to manifest in his hands. "everyone duck!!" He flung the spear and it stuck into a nearby guard and began to glow inside of him. Duke grabbed Koda by his arm and pulled him into a nearby tunnel. Right when he did a huge flash of light fired from the spear nearly blinding everyone in the room. "what was that!?" Asked Koda completely bewildered. " I will explain it all when we are safe quick we must go deeper into the tunnels before we are caught and slaughtered.
