Drink a glass of lemon water each morning. Cut a small or medium-sized lemon in half, and squeeze its juice into a glass of warm water. Regular consumption of this beverage boosts the immune system, improves cognitive function, and tightens skin. It'll also reduce bad breath, expel phlegm and alleviate joint pain.
And since the liver produces more enzymes from lemon water than any other food or beverage, regular consumption will enable the sponge-like organ to flush out toxins more efficiently.
Drink 8 glasses of water per day. Staying adequately hydrated is essential for peak physical and mental performance. Studies recommend varying amounts of water for daily consumption, but most experts advise drinking eight 8-oz glasses per day. However, you may need to drink more than 64 ounces of water on days when you work out or stay more physically active than usual.
Replace regular milk with almond milk. It's no secret that most commercialized cow's milk products don't just give you vitamin D and calcium, but a blast of steroids and growth hormones as well. Soy milk, on the other hand, contains compounds which mimic the female hormone estrogen.
Almond milk doesn't bare any of these health hazards, and is a great alternative for anyone who uses dairy primarily for moistening their granola.
Take a regular dose of antioxidants. Though the body produces antioxidants to offset the onslaught of free radicals, the environment subjects it to more damage than it can handle on its own. Damage caused by free radicals has been associated with an array of disorders, including heart disease, liver inflammation, and cancer.
Taking an antioxidant supplement can deter the development of these diseases. There are many different kinds of antioxidants available, but one of the best is the active form of alpha lipoic acid (commonly labelled as R-ALA), which is available over the counter.
Drink a good multivitamin when necessary. Whether you need a multivitamin supplement or not depends on your current diet. Health experts recommend obtaining your nutritional needs from eating a balanced, healthy diet. But the truth of the matter is, most of us don't eat that way.
Because we'd rather get burgers and fries to go than prepare a salad at home.
Before taking a multivitamin, it's important to know the nutritional value of what you usually eat, and supplement accordingly. Overdosing vitamins (especially fat-soluble nutrients, which are stored in your body fat) can cause health problems. With that in mind, consult a doctor before taking any supplement.
While waiting to meet with your doctor, check out this chart to better understand the recommended daily allowance (RDA) and consumption limits for specific nutrients:

Commit to jumping jacks everyday. This exercise works out the entire body, and can be done at home, in between breaks at work, or practically anywhere there's a flat surface. It tones the legs, buttocks, and midsection. Doing jumping jacks also strengthens the cardiovascular system, relieves stress, and can burn up to 563 calories per hour (for 155-pound individuals).
Groom yourself properly. It's a mystery as to why people put aside bathing and proper grooming. Folks who groom themselves properly are usually held in higher regard. Well-groomed people don't suffer from the typical problems their opposites struggle with (or have gotten used to), such as repulsive body odor, discoloured teeth, dirty fingernails, and so on so forth.
Walk briskly for 45-minutes a day. Studies show that this low-impact exercise is almost as good as jogging. Other than the obvious benefits of burning calories, toning legs, and defining your mid-section, walking fast for 30-45 minutes a day prompts the brain to release endorphins, the feel good chemical which generates a sense of euphoria and wellness.
