The Cat in the Hat Murdered That [completed]

     After I got dressed in some sweatpants and an orange long-sleeved shirt, I brushed my hair. While we were Ohio my hair was so dirty it looked at if it was brown. Now that I washed it is back to its original golden color. I've always hated my hair color because it isn't stealthy. If I'm going to hide shouldn't my hair be undetected too? When I finished brushing my hair, I put it in a loose ponytail and looked at the time. I had ten more minutes until dinner and I want to spend them laying on my bed, staring at the blank ceiling.
     My room is pink and black with a white ceiling. My furniture is black and my bed is twin-sized with black sheets. The blankets are made and are carefully placed on my bed. Next to my bed is my nightstand with a pink lava-lamp on it. As soon as I fall onto my bed someone knocks on my door.
     "Come in," I yell, my face still in the covers. I look up to see my brother coming towards me. He was wearing a black turtleneck and red basketball shorts.
Nick sat on my bed and looked at me while asking,
     "Are you okay?"
     "Why wouldn't I be?" I ask sitting up.
     "When we didn't find the Cat you were more upset than usual and I am just checking on you," he remembered
     I didn't want to answer his question, but I decided against it, "I--"
     "Dinner!" Ms. Fairchild yelled up the stairs with her sweet voice. My brother dropped the conversation and left my room, me following shortly after.

Bare (or is it "bear"?) with me. I feel like this chapter is really cringy, but I felt a need to post this incredibly short chapter for all of you amazing readers. Since my last update, so many people have added this book to their reading lists and I just wanted I say THANK YOU!! You guys have no idea what that means to me. I never thought that people were actually reading this. Ever time I see one more read than usual I freak out because I didn't think that this was possible for me and I just wanted to say Thank You to all you amazing people that are reading my book!!!
