What do you guys thing about the new age restrictions?
I honestly think it's ridiculous. I now have to use the website to update/read stories and it's annoying the hell out of me.
Like, not all of us are 17+ (I'm 14). And there are tons of people who are upset about the new restrictions. It just makes me angry that such a popular app/website would put high age restrictions on a(n) app/website that almost a quarter of the users are less than 17+.
If you are worried about minors reading "inappropriate" stories, then have them put in their age BEFORE signing up for the app. This lets them enjoy stories that are within their age range and appropriate for them but also saves their innocence.
I know that there are tons of "inappropriate" stories on Wattpad. But is that really a reason to eliminate so many readers who haven't read anything age innappropriate?
So, in conclusion. I think the new age restrictions are fowl and should be changed to AT MOST 12+. Then, have a system that allows to put in your age, blocking any stories that have been marked as "inappropriate".
