i push the door open with Camila to my right.
"hey guys i already had someone round so she's gonna hang with us to, i'm sure you've seen Camila around" i say slightly gesturing to Camila who is half hidden by the door frame.
"hi, come on in we don't bite" Aaron and Stuart say laughing.David looks like he is in a daze looking at Camila and i can't blame him.
"hey David might want to wipe that drool mate" i say smirking.he seems to snap out of it, apologise and looking down shyly.While all of this is happening Eli has stayed quiet almost glaring at her.
"eyes up here Eli,i'm the one you're dating over here"i say jokingly with a bit of hurt in my voice. everyone goes silent and he just mumbles "it doesn't feel like i'm dating you" thinking i can't hear him.
"alright go to the kitchen smart Ass i'll be there in a minute" i say quite pissed he said that in front of everyone especially Camila.He gets up and walks straight passed me with his head down but i know he's trying to hide the anger on his face.
"sorry about that, take a seat and get to know everyone and i'll be right back in a few minutes." i leave the room and begrudgingly walk into the kitchen to see Eli sitting on the small dining table with his head in his hands.
"hey what the fuck happened back there?" i say sitting on the table facing him.He lifts his head and looks at me and goes to open his mouth but just closes it again.after another minute i ask "if there's something you need to say, say it now cause i haven't got time to be wasting." He stands up to face me.
"yeah um you haven't hung out in like months, i feel like you don't even like me anymore and i catch you staring at the same girl all the time and now she's at your house i just don't get it" he says letting out a big sigh at the end.
"i haven't hung out in a while because my parents won't let me go out and they give me a bunch of chores" this was a lie the real reason was because i would either go home and lay down and try to figure out all the confusing stuff going on in my head or i'd be too scared that he'll try to go further than making out which i am not ready for.
"i do like you i have just been a bit stressed out recently and was trying to sort it out" yet again another lie, really i feel that i don't like him in a romantic way anymore.
"i'm always looking at her because it's hard not to compare yourself to other people and she's here because we both got injured and she was worse then me so i brought her here, bought her a chocolate and was making her some food to make her feel comfortable" lies,lies,lies.
He stares at me for a minute and finally says "okay i'm sorry i acted rudely, i'll apologise to her as well when we go back in there" he then gives me a kiss and walks away.we get back into the living room and he apologised and we made small talk learning about each other for about 5 minutes when i remember something.
"hey guys i was just about to put some burgers on the grill before you showed up so why don't we go outside and get cooking" they all agree and head outside while i go to kitchen to grab the food.i had just finished putting the last patty on the fourth tray when Camila comes in and picks up two of the trays and smiles at me.
we get outside and everyone is talking amongst themselves, i walk over to the grill and start cooking for my friends.The conversation fades off and then Aaron says "so Camila what did you choose too study this year?" Camila seems to brighten up at this question. "so obviously we have to do science,English and maths but i chose art,graphic design and choir cause i like to draw and be creative and also to sing but not in front of lots of people." as soon as she says that Stuart excitedly says " i joined choir too, i heard we get Ms.Hansen to teach us this year."
Stuart and Camila both squealed at this and the rest of us just laughed.i was glad we were all getting along, although Eli looks like he's about to burst because he had caught me checking out Camila a minute ago.now it was David's turn to ask a question "so Camila are you dating anyone?" Camila freezes and looks to me to help her out of this.i get the message so i come up with a distraction."hey guys i just realised that my parents are going to be gone the whole week for some business thing and my brothers are staying at my moms friend's house, so how about you guys stay for the night? all of us just eating junk food and being idiots, even you Camila i'd love for you to join if you want?"
"yeah!" the guys cheer, then they run out the door saying they're going to grab their stuff and a bunch of snacks. Camila seems to be snapped out of her moment and turns to me.she smiles and says "do you actually want me to stay with you guys?" i look down shyly and quietly say "well yeah, only if you want of course" she gets up from her chair and puts her hand under my chin to lift my head to face her not realising how much that makes me want to just lean in and have our lips connect even if it's just a second.
i look into her eyes and she says "i would love to hang out with you and your friends, you all seem pretty cool" i chuckle and say "once again we are mostly definitely not cool."
we just stare into each others eyes for about a minute straight then she snaps out of it and puts my chin down.i break the silence and say "would you like me to drive you to your house to get you some clothes or i can lend you some of mine if you don't feel like going home."
she smiles shyly and mumbles "can i just wear yours? i don't feel like seeing my parents" i walk over to her and hug her. "it's okay lets get changed now, yeah?" she squeezes me tighter for a second then runs upstairs.i sprint to catch up with her not wanting her to go in the wrong room or find mine for that matter.
