previously on Falling against fate:
i then immediately start to sprint to the other side of the building trying to get there on time.as i pass the language block the first ding goes off and i speed up as much as i can. The second ding goes off as i pass the library and i'm going as fast as i possibly can.i sprint through the doors to the English block, open the door to my form and slide into my seat as the third ding goes off and i give a little smile knowing i'm not gonna get a late mark on the register.as i catch my breath the form tutor walks in and glances over everyone in the form before stopping on the spot and practically shrieking "TUCK YOUR SHIRT IN YOUNG LADY" while pointing at a girl in the year below me. she jumps as his voice enters her ears and starts stuffing the bottom of her shirt into her trousers.
he surveys the room once more and calls out the names on the register.after that he tells us we can leave early so we are early to our first lesson.my first lesson was maths with Camila,Eli and Aaron.Well that'll be fun won't it, note the sarcasm, i hope this goes as smoothly as possible.
chapter 10
I leave my form room and start walking to maths while also stuffing my earphones under my school shirt and pulling the earbuds out of the same hole as my head, placing one in my right ear which is hidden by my hair.i walk through the door to my first lesson glancing at the teachers desk where i see a supply teacher, i silently cheer to myself and look around the class.i immediately spot Camila in her original seat in the back left hand corner parallel to the teachers desk.she waves me over and i smile while pausing my music and taking the earphone out.
i sit down next to her and we just start talking about how this lesson is going to be fun seeing as we have a supply teacher. The teacher hushes the class down and announces she'll be taking the register and then explain the work that's been left for us to do.She calls out the names and once she calls out "Eli" i look over to where i hear a reply of "here" and see Eli sitting on his own on the table diagonal from us.
after she finished the register and explained what we had to do (which was jut answering questions from a textbook) Camila and I start talking about her music tastes and after a couple minutes she asks
"hey can we listen to some of your music? i wanna know what it sounds like" i think about it and realise i already told her what i listen to so it can't be that bad.
"yeah sure" i say while giving her a smile.as i go to take my earphones out from my shirt i hear something that sounds like a growl i look to where the sound came from and see Eli looking down at his table with anger all over his face.i hesitate for a second then ask
"Eli, you alright?" with a bit of concern in my voice.he looks over to me with a glare and exclaims "yeah just peachy, hearing you instantly agree to let her listen to your music with you when i couldn't even know the name of one artist you liked when i had known you for over six years makes sooo fucking happy" i clear my throat then say
"first of all why the fuck are you eavesdropping on my conversations?have you not got anything better to do with your sad sad life? and you know why i never told you what i listen to? i didn't feel like being belittled for yet another thing i actually enjoy and I actually trust Camila not to do anything that would make me feel uncomfortable, such as pressuring me to tell her what i listen to"
he just stares me down for a few more seconds before huffing and looking back to his work.i look back to Camila and she just looks at me in what i think is awe.i snap my fingers in front of her face and turns to look at me and i say "still wanna listen to my music?" while holding out an earphone.she smiles, nods and takes the earphone placing it in her right ear while i place mine in my left.we listen to my music the rest of the lest of the lesson with her occasionally sending me a smile which would always leave me a daze wanting to make her smile more.
We walk out of the lesson with her on my left and start walking to where our next lessons were, as we were walking i realised that i would be sitting next to Eli and only Eli in my next lesson.i physically groaned out loud ans she asked me what was wrong.i explained and she made a pouty sad face and said
"that sucks but i know if he says something to you that you don't like you'll be able to handle yourself" i smiled at her for saying that and then noticed i was outside of my lesson's room.
i groan again when i see that Eli is already sat at our table which is in the back right hand corner.She giggles and i look back to her with a smile on my face.we stand there looking at each other before i realise i didn't even ask her where her class was.
"Hey Camila where's your class?" i say trying to be casual.
"oh it's right next door actually so we can wait for each other after class if you still want to hang out at lunch?"she said enthusiastically at first and becoming more nervous towards the end.
"yeah sure that sounds like a plan" i look down the corridor and see my teacher walking towards the class. "i gotta go in now,see you later" she nods her head and before i can turn to walk away i feel her arms around my neck and i put mine around her waist to catch my balance.after a couple seconds she releases me and walks into her room leaving me temporarily stunned.
i turn around and walk to the place I've been dreading, the seat to Eli's right.i walk with my head held high and smirk placed firmly on my face knowing there's nothing he can do that will effect me.
