Anyway onto the book!
The appearance of your OC is one of the most important things about your OC. Things that make up your OC's appearance are hair,eyes,face,body,and clothing/accessories.
The hair of your OC is broken up into 3 groups: color,length,and style. The color of your OC's hair depends on where they are and then their personality. If your OC lives in a fantasy world, than it's okay for them to have pink,blue,and purple hair. If your OC is in real life, than, their hair should have natural colors such as black,blond,brown, and gray/white if they're really old. Here's where your OC's personality comes into play, if your OC is a happy,hyper, person they might have highlights/streaks in their hair. You can chose if it's a clip on or not. Another example is if your OC is a rebel, they might have hair colors such as dark purple,dark blue, dark red, dark green and maybe a mixed combination of those colors. The length of your OC's hair can be whatever you want it to be. Just the hair color length depends on where your OC is. In a fantasy world, your OC may have hair that reached down to their knees, but if your OC is in real life,they can have hair this long but it's just rare. Lastly, your OC's hairstyle is your choice. The hairstyle depends on your OC's personality. If your OC is happy and hyper, they may have short hair. Don't ask why I say this, it's just that every time I think of a happy,hyper person, I believe that they have short hair. If your OC's a rebel they may have messy short hair.Again, don't ask why. Also if your OC is going to a special occasion, you can change their hairstyle but, make sure it fits the occasion and the length of your OC's hair. Here's a list of hair color and styles.

That's all for hair! Those are the only hair styles that I know, if you have a hair style that is not on this list then use it if you want to!
The eyes of your OC is as important as you make it. 3 things make up your OC's eyes:color,shape/style,and other. Just like your OC's hair the color depends on where your OC is. In fantasy worlds your OC's eyes can be any color, while in real life your OC's eyes can be black,brown,grey,blue,or green. I may have forgot some. Also your OC can have 2 different eye colors such as 1 blue and one brown. Onto shape/style. This is very simple. Your OC's shape depends on you. If you're drawing your OC's eyes it can be drawn in any way you want it to be. Sometimes you can make it so that your OC is blind or has one eye. To make your OC have one eye just draw the eye closed, You can also draw a scar over the closed eye to make it look like a knife slash. Lastly other is usually used if your OC is magical. You can make it so that your OC has color changing eyes, weird iris shapes such as a heart, and/or weird eye shapes. I'm sorry but I won't be doing a list of eye colors,styles, and other since I want to update this quickly.
Next is your OC's face. This is going to be short since like I said I want to update this quickly. For your OC's face chose skin color,and your OC's eye,nose,and mouth size. You want to make sure that your OC looks normal, unless you don't want her/him to be or if you are just writing a story. Also you can give your OC scars,makeup, and piercings if you want to.
The category body is similar to face, chose any skin color and you can add scars, tattoos, piercings,and anything else you can think of. ( NOT LITERALLY). Another thing that you need for your OC is body shape. Your OC's body shape may depend on how fit they are. Your OC can be: average,chubby,fat,slim,skinny,or any shape that you want to make them.
Lastly, clothing & accessories. Your OC's clothing should fit their time period. If they live in a fantasy world(I know, I use this example a lot) they should wear clothing that are similar to princesses' and princes' clothing, but, just more casual looking. If your OC's in real life, than just chose any kind of clothing depending on their personality. Someone who is cheerful and friendly may wear clothing with bright colors such as teal blue, bubblegum pink,and bright yellow. I'm going to write a list that gives you some accessories that people in fantasy worlds,real life, and in both fantasy and real life wear.
