The personality of your OC is one of the most important things an OC should have. Their personality affects how they interact with other people and their actions. When you're coming up with a personality for your OC, keep in mind that your OC can make people think about them in one way but, really they are the other way. For example someone may look shy and quiet on the outside but, may actually be friendly and talkative on the inside. Also your OC may act a different way for different people. They may be nice and friendly to their friends, but mean and sassy to other people.
Here are some examples of people who are different on the inside and outside. These are anime terms so just roll with it. I know there are some people out there who hate anime, that's fine but, you can still use these terms if you want.
Tsundere- mean and hostile on the outside, but, will show warm nice side later on. Tsunderes are also hostile to their crush but, it's obvious that they like them
Kuudere- cool, and unemotional on the outside, but, will show softer side later on
Dandere- really shy, and antisocial until the right person comes along and will be more confident
WARNING: THE "DERE"ONE BELOW IS A LITTLE VIOLENT
Yandere- nice and social on the outside, but, is crazy and will kill for love on the inside

-cool -caring -overprotective -protective -forgiving -creative -impulsive
-calm -charming -loyal -many-sided -independent
