Pacifist

Part 1

(Alex's POV)

I lay on a patch of marigolds with Seraph, who landed on top of me. She lifts herself up so she's sitting on the marigolds. I sit up and look around. "Where the hell are we?" I ask curiously.

"I don't know..." Seraph says. "But I have a feeling that we might not make it out of here."

"Come on, don't say that! We can find a way! We just, have to move forward..."

To be honest, I agree with her. I don't know if we'll make it out of here or not. Maybe we will, maybe we won't, I don't know for sure. But one thing I know, is Seraph and I are on our own for the time being. And all we can do is move forward.

We walk through this big doorway. "Howdy!" We hear.

We look down and see a flower. "I'm Flowey!" It says. "Flowey the flower! Hmmm...You're new to the Underground, aren'tcha? Golly, you must be so confused! Someone ought to teach you how things work around here! I guess little old me will have to do. Ready? Here we go!"

We see two hearts float in front of us. The one in front of Seraph is light blue and the one in front of me is a slightly darker shade of blue. "See those hearts?" Flowey says. "Those are your souls, the very culmination of your being! Your soul starts off weak, but can grow strong if you gain a lot of LV."

"Umm." Seraph says. "Wh-What's LV?"

"What does LV stand for? Why, love of course! You want some love, don't you?"

Seraph and I remain silent.

"Don't worry! I'll share some with you!"

Flowey winks and continues. "Down here, love is spread through...Little white..."friendliness
pellets!""

A few pellets appear. "Are you ready? Move around! Catch as many as you can!"

Seraph is hesitant to move around, but I move and touch one, and it hurts me, depleting my HP.

Flowey makes an evil face and says, "You idiot...In this world, it's kill or be killed. Why would anyone pass up an opportunity like this?"

Flowey creates a circle of the pellets around Seraph and I and shouts, "DIE!"

As the pellets are closing in around us, he's laughing. Seraph and I get touched by the pellets, but my HP maxes out. They disappear and Flowey is knocked over by a fireball.

"What the hell is even going on!?" Seraph says, kind of panicked.

Then, a goat lady appears.  She looks sympathetic and says, "What a terrible creature, torturing such poor, innocent, humans. Ah, do not be afraid, my children. I am Toriel, caretaker of the ruins. I pass through this place everyday to see if anyone has fallen down. You two are the first humans to come down here in a long time. Come! I will guide you through the catacombs."

The hearts disappear. "This way!" Toriel says. And we follow her through another big doorway. The shadow of the ruins looms above us, and it fills us with determination.
