(Alex's POV)

Seraph and I play in the leaves for a while, then I say, "I know we're having fun here, but we have to continue forward, or else we might not find a way out."

"Alright." Seraph says. She climbs onto my back and we go into a room to the north. In that room, there's a bowl of candy. "It's not just any candy." Seraph says, giggling. "According to the sign, it's 'Monster Candy'."

"It also says, 'Take one.'" I say. "Well, I don't see any harm in each of us taking a piece."

Seraph reaches over my shoulder and grabs a piece of candy as I take a piece. We then turn back around and make our way down the corridor, and go right. Once we're in that room, we notice little window type things in the wall.

We continue forward, but once we reach the center of the room, we fall through the floor. Seraph fell off my back in the process and she landed on her butt on the ground. I fell on my face, stretched out across her lap.

Once we gather our bearings, Seraph says, "Well, it looks like we have to be careful around floors like that...They're obviously puzzles."

"Yeah. Obviously." I respond. "Now we need to find a way out of this little room."

We look around the room for any sign of a way out. Seraph looks at the window things closer. "Hey!" She says. "These aren't just window! They're tunnels!"

She crawls through the one on the right and I follow her. We soon find ourselves at the end of the tunnel, on the other side of the room we were in before we fell. "Glad we got outta there..." She says while brushing the dirt off her pants.

I take her hand and we press on. When we reach the next room, my cell phone starts ringing. I answer it and put it on speaker. "Hello?" The person on the other end says. "This is Toriel. For no reason in particular, which do you prefer? Cinnamon or butterscotch?" I look at Seraph and say, "Well, which do you prefer?"

"Hmm. Well, I really like butterscotch." She responds.

"I agree with you. Butterscotch is better."

"Oh, I see. Thank you two very much!" Then she hangs up.

"That was weird..." I say.

Seraph nods her head in agreement. We only take a few more steps before her phone rings. She answers it and puts it on speaker. "Hello? This is Toriel." Toriel says. "You do not dislike cinnamon, do you two? I know what your preference is but would you turn your noses up if you found it on your plates?"

"No." Seraph says. "Cinnamon is good, but we prefer butterscotch."

"Right, right. I understand. Thank you for being patient, by the way." Toriel hangs up her phone after that.

Seraph shakes her head. "Let's just go." She says.  We walk up to a sign that's in the room. "It says something about rocks needing pushed?" Seraph says.

"Rocks needing pushed?" I respond. "That's strange..."

Seraph looks around and then her face lights up. She walks over to a rock and pushes it on top of a switch. Once the rock is on the switch, a line of spikes disappears. As soon as we cross that area, her phone rings again. "Hello? This is Toriel." Toriel says again. "Either of you do not have any allergies, do you?"

"No..?" I say.

"Um, not to any foods besides sea food. Why are you asking?" Seraph says.

"Huh? Why am I asking? No reason...No reason at all." Then she hangs up.

"You know what? I think she might be planning something for us." Seraph says after a moment.

"That's what it seems like." I say as we continue walking. "But I hope she realizes that we can't stay forever...We've gotta get back home sometime."

We stumble upon a huge section of floor that is like before. The floor that falls if you step on it.

"Hmm. Maybe it's a puzzle?" Seraph says. "Like a maze. Pretty much follow the path or fall."

"But how will we know the path?"

"I dunno. The solution is probably under the maze itself."

"Okay? I guess that means just go and try to find the right spot then."

"Yep."

Seraph takes my hand and we both step on the floor together, falling down through the floor.

This time Seraph landed on her face and I landed on my back. "I don't think I'm gonna be able to get used to the falling here..." Seraph says.

"Yeah, really..." I respond.

Seraph soon stands up and looks at the path the leaves made. She nods, looking satisfied. Then she pulls me up and we walk to the top of the room, finding a tunnel thing and crawling through it, ending up where we started. She then leads me over the the end of the puzzle and walks an oddly specific path, getting us across safely.

"Obviously you found the solution?" I say.

"Oh yes. It was quite easy really. The path the leaves made was the path I followed on the maze."

"Awesome."

We go into the next room, finding spikes blocking the bridge across and three rocks. "Alright, Alex, you can push the center rock, and I'll get the one to your left. Then we can try to get the one on the bottom."

I nod and we push the rocks. After they're in place on the switches, Seraph tries to push the other rock. But, even though it's a rock, it says, "WHOA there, pardner! Who said you could push me around?"

Seraph stares at it in disbelief. I clear my throat and say, "Well, um, do you think you could move over, please?"

The rock says, "Hmm? So you're askin me to move over?"

"Well, yes, please."

"Okay, just for you, pumpkin."

After the rock says that, Seraph gets really red in the face. Like she's angry at it. Well, I'm kinda annoyed too because it only moved a few inches.

Seraph tries to push it again, saying, "Could you please move some more?"

"Hmm? So you want me to move some more? Alrighty. How's this?" It moves, but in the wrong direction.

Seraph face palms and says, "Look pal, that's the wrong direction."

"Hmm? That was the wrong direction? Okay, I think I got it."

It moves down and onto the switch. We sigh happily and try to press on, but then the rock moves off the switch. Seraph looks like she's ready to kill that rock. "Look pal, we kinda needed you to stay put!"

"Hmm? You wanted me to stay there? You're giving me a real workout." The rock then moves back into place and we continue. As we're leaving, Seraph mumbles, "That rock wouldn't have had that workout if it would've cooperated in the first place."

Once we leave the room, we're in a hallway. In that hallway is a mouse hole in the wall and a table with a piece of cheese stuck to it. And knowing that one day the mouse might leave its hole to get the cheese fills us with determination.
